Sunday, March 16th

All my food today was created by local community markets. My 'Vegan Reuben' $6.59 enjoyed at the Common Market...
with Roasted Potatoes off their hot bar...
Seitan and Mac & Cheese from Dawson's Market for dinner....

Dessert was a third of a 'Carob Chip Bar' from Common Market...

$2.99 for a massive bar was a good value. Prepare to see more of the same all week...

The below pic was taken at 5:30pm (still 4:30pm to me). We're currently in the midst of accumulating four inches of snow...
I predict a carby day tomorrow.

Four inches = WFH, yes?

Our weather has been very radical lately; 71 degrees followed by 38 and snow. I'm a little over it. Too bad it will happen again this week.

Another delicious day! Is there a sauce on the seitan, or is it served plain?

Good looking rueben and taters there, although i'm concerned about the lack of ketchup in the potato pic.
The mac n cheese muffin is such a fun shape that just means it has to taste good, right??
The flower photo is so pretty!! And yet sad..... Dumb snow. Was too cold for bikes today- that film sounds cool, i'll look it up. Although those bike messengers are craayyyyzzz suicidal people dodging in and out of traffic and everything.
What ever happened to randy and the van? Hibernating??

Oh, what an optimistic little flower, boldly shooting forth among the snow! I wish it well. Grub looks good as uszh.

Nice job those markets are doing. I'm a little confused - so are they grocery stores with eat-in options? Like WF? Or are they restaurants with take-away options and just called "markets?"
Ummmm maybe I don't need to dwell on it so much... Any green in the cards for St Pats?
I haven't seen any flowers yet.

Ugh sorry about the snow, I think we dodged it today. The flower is really beautiful though. Carbs are perfect for a cold snowy day. Hopefully we'll see the rest of that matcha muffin! ;)

I love that your meals were all from community markets. I'm definitely loving the seitan and mac n cheese muffin. I still think muffin sized mac n cheese is brilliant. The carob chip bar looks great too.

It's snowing here right now and I might scream. I need the other two-thirds of your dessert.

Hey Now!!!!

Ingrid, we ended up getting around 8" and the office was closed, so I could 'officially' work from home as opposed to 'unofficially' or something.. Mr. SV and I were just saying how in just a couple weeks we'll be complaining it's too hot. There was a little light sauce on the Seitan, but I didn't take a pic of all the ingredients at the hot bar. Next time.

Unknown, WF's offers Ketchup and other condiments for folks eating at the store, but Common Market does not;-( Yes, the Mac & Cheese is baked in muffin tins. I'll get a better pic of the next one. I just recommended the film if you happen to get Encore up there. Encore is a free channel down here that has somewhat recently released films like 'Premium Rush'. Randy Radish is only serving on Saturday mornings through the winter and we haven't been able to cross paths. Hopefully this week.

Blessed Mama, that little Crocus is now completely buried under eight inches of snow.

FF, Dawson's Market & Common Market are like WF's but smaller and localized. St. Pats is your holiday (no Irish blood here, even though I feel pressure to observe). I'm expecting an exciting post about your celebration. I predict Beer will be involved.

Sarah, Dawson's & Common Market are probably similar to your Sweet Pea Fruit Exchange. Although, your food looked more gourmet.

Hannah, I ain't falling for it. You have Root Beer flavored Cookies to cry into.

Abby, it is indeed a Mac & Cheese Muffin. Almost as great an idea as Deep Fried Mac & Cheese Balls.
