Friday, March 14th

The usual Friday breakfast but without the Energy Bites...
Lunch was at Fish Taco. Mom & I split some Guac & Chips...
My Avocado Tacos did not have cheese, but did appear to have some potentially creamy dressing on them that I will have to address if I ever go back. The Black Beans & Rice were outstanding....
If there was any Tequila in my Frozen Margarita (out of a big Slurpee machine, so it was probably all high fructose corn syrup and red dye #2), I couldn't discern it, however, my mother said she got drunk off hers....
Dinner was some Vegan Chili carried out from Dawson's Market....
Excellent (very spicy) recipe that Dawson's has...
Planning to get to LPQ tomorrow. Hope I make it happen.

But how did you stay energetic without the energy nuggets???
Lunch looks really amazing- i can totally tell those beans are good. They sure didn't skimp on the corn for your tacos there...!
That chili has some great texture to it. I'm on strike and refusing to have any more soup or stew until next fall/winter. Regardless of the fact its still very cold.

LPQ will happen. I'm curious about their vegan kale ceasar.

Hey, I'm not gonna ask my uniformed question this time - I remembered you and your Mom lunch on Fridays! Yay for me. I hate it when I get suspicious ingredients in my food. Why do restaurants constantly want to sprinkle animal parts on what I'm going to eat? At the risk of once again being scolded by you: what's LPQ?

The color of your breakfast is so beautiful! Bummer about the suspicious lunch ingredients but it looks great overall. I can't wait for my frozen margarita coming up next weekend :) That's what happened to me with my hurricane in New Orleans... I thought they gave me a non-alcoholic drink but then was completely wasted within 10 minutes. It was kind of hilarious. Great looking chili. Love the spice :)

Re: olives... I don't know how the olive gene skipped me... my dad is the only one in my family that likes olives. I do use olive oil... the flavor is so light and mellow that I don't mind it. I can't explain it but I just feel that the flavor of the olive itself is so strong but the oil isn't. One of my cats LOVED olives. Whenever my dad ate them he'd freak out and wouldn't leave him alone until he shared!

Hey Now!!!!

Unknown, I do only eat those Energy Bites for the energy;-) You're like me on the sick-of-winter-thing, except, for me, I'm protesting by refusing to wear a winter coat. IMO, LPQ's Lentil Avocado Salad is better than the Vegan Kale Caesar.

Blessed Mama, LPQ=Le Pain Quotidien. A vegan-friendly restaurant. The closest one to you is in Pasadena.

Sarah, you had better post on your party Florida weekend. I had the Eggplant and Beet gene skip me, but I'm still trying to learn to love them. Too bad you could get the Olive loving Cat on video. That sounds like it would go viral.

Maybe they put your alcohol in your mother's drink.
