WTF Thursday

TJ's Cream Cheese on another really super stale Wegman's Pumpernickel Bagel for breakfast. So stale was this bagel that I couldn't even slice it in half without it breaking into pieces. Let me reiterate, I am to blame for not freezing the Bagels when I bought them a few weeks ago...
Kept things soft after that breakfast. 'Organic Three Bean Chili' from The Randy Radish for lunch. A feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds....
'Shepherds Pie' from The Randy Radish for dinner. Really goes down easy...
Rice Dream Vanilla Bar (that had survived in the freezer after the door had been left ajar for a few hours) for dessert. None the worse for wear, just a few ice crystals. I'm getting a message from the universe that I need to learn how to store my grub...
Carryout from CPK tomorrow for lunch..

Sad news about the bagel. I guess you could have just thought of it as a glorified bagel chip? Looks nice and fresh in the pic at least!

Oh that Randy Radish and it's delicious fare. Both meals look delicious and comforting and warming. Yum!! The ice cream bar looks good too. I've been wanting ice cream lately but I am always cold so I can never bring myself to do it!

Oooh roasted veggie salad tomorrow?

Perhaps a tomato bread soup with bagels next time? But I'm weird, I love both stale and chewy bagels and mushy bread in soup.

Ha ha! I have storage issues too. Or "I forgot that was there and now there's mold" issues.

Randy Radish meals are thing of envy. As are Rice Dream bars, freezer burn and all.

I've made chia pudding with all kinds of milks, the almond-coconut is a current favorite. I use about 3TB chia to one cup milk for a serving and add fruit the next morning (i make it the night before)
I hope that was the end of those bagels! And i always think stews and soups are better a day or two later, Randy's work seems to stand the test of time well. Your poor dessert looks like it was beaten up! Ice cream and chocolate can't be bad.....

I'm impressed that you powered through the bagel despite the staleness. I can imagine that gave your jaw quite the workout!

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, the Bagel did look goo because I have no control how my pics come out -- good food looks bad and bad food looks good. Yep, Roasted Veggie Salad.

Hannah, there's plenty more stale bread where those Bagels came from. I'll try some on my next Soup night.

Ingrid, Randy Radish meals are definitely a thing of envy. Too good to be true. Scary good.

Unknown, I read somewhere that you aren't supposed to eat more than two tablespoons of Chia Seed a day. I'll try making the Pudding again, although I'm sure LPQ does something special to make theirs so thick and decadent.

RVs, it was an invigorating workout, but I do not wish to ever repeat it.

GFHTummy, are you ever gonna blog again?
