WTF Monday

Eggless Egg Salad from The Common Market on a Wegman's Pumpernickel Bagel for breakfast. It was so great to eat a non-stale Bagel....
Skinny Bitch Red Wine 'Beef' Stew for lunch. I added some Peas, but they didn't noticeably enhance it...
Dinner had been carried out from Hempen Hill BBQ last week. Wild Rice, Spinach, Cannelloni Beans, Garlic, Shallots and Grape Tomatoes tossed in a Madeira non-butter sauce...
A bag of Barnana for dessert. It was okay, but don't plan on buying it again.
Cereal and a Sandwich tomorrow? Maybe.

Barnana, eh? Sounds interesting. I need to learn from you and hoard up on desserts to have around the house. I somehow can't make myself leave the house again today but I really want something sweet.
Great looking dinner. Lots of beans in there, and it's nice that a place actually uses non-butter rather than oil!

Hooray for fresh bagels! ;) I bet it was definitely good to have a fresh one finally. The stew looks so good. I bet one batch lasts a while? The peas do add a nice little pop of color. Dinner looks like a really great dish!! Definitely looks really comforting and delicious. I have those banana things (plain banana no chocolate) but haven't brought myself to try them (I got them from someone). The not so rave review makes me confident in my decision to hold off haha.

I've never heard of Barnana. It's almost like the British pronounciation, where they add an "r" and the end of words ending in a vowel. "Bananar" If I ever see them, I will not purchase them. Ha!

I did make another batch of stew, using just slightly less water in the broth, and added seasoning as I cooked. I only sampled it, but it tasted pretty great. And it definitely looks closer to yours pictured here.

Yay for eggless egg salad and non stale bagels!

The dinner looks really delicious!

Barnana is an interesting name. Never heard of them but they look decent!

So glad you had a not stale bagel- pumpernickle and eggless salad is a nice combo. I actually had a pumpernickle with scallion tofutti myself today. Peas are fun for color but they don't have a very distinct flavor (to me anyhow)..... I love that the stew is chunky.
That BBQ place really has some impressive non bbq dishes! The rice mix looks like there is some wild rice in it? Yum....those beans also look great.
The dessert, well, none for me thanks......

I bet your jaw missed the chew workout with the non-stale bagel but.

Glad you enjoyed the bagel! You certainly deserve a fresh one after that last.

Is that chocolate covered bananas?

Hey Now!!!

FF, even though I have a ton of desserts stockpiled, most nights I still don't have a single thing I really want.

Sarah, I've really learned to appreciate fresh Bagels after this latest ordeal. Fresh Bagels are delicious! Plain Barnana Bites? How can that be? Strange.

Ingrid, save your $ on the Barnana and put it toward Hazelnut Cranberry Field Roast En Croute. Your last stew did look a little watery...

VGG, yeah, the Barnana looks decent. If it was $1/bag in the vending machine, I might buy it, but otherwise: do not buy.

Unknown, Tofutti & Scallion Cream Cheese! That sounds fantastic. I want! Did you get that at a Manhattan Bagel Shop pre-made? Yes, it was Wild Rice, kind of an odd mix of ingredients. I thought it was fresh Banana you disliked?

Hannah, I predict many more jaw workouts in the future based on my lazy nature.

RVs, I've learned my Bagel storage lesson. Never again will I let the 79 cent ones languish in the fridge. The Barnana Bites were sort of like Chocolate Covered Banana Chips. You aren't missing anything there.
