Sunday, November 3rd

Breakfast was at Harrimans Grill. We both had the 'Tofu Scramble' $12 Vine-Ripened Tomatoes, Green Onions, Tempeh Sausage (the menu still says 'Bacon') and Roasted Potatoes.
We tried the 'Sheila's Favorite Chocolate Croissants' $5 again. They were better than last time, but still not like real Chocolate Croissants.
The above kept me full a good long while, so no lunch today. I still can't find Field Roast En Croute locally, but I did find a $14.99 Gardein Holiday Roast at Wegman's this afternoon. Imagine Mushroom Gravy with homemade Mashed Potatoes for dinner.....
Also got more Crabbies at Wegman's. Enjoyed a Moscow Mule tonight....
I thought I'd eat dessert, but I thought wrong. So much for that extra hour. Back tomorrow with WFH grub.

Crabbies! Finally something on your blog that I've actually had (back in Australia, no less).

That tofu scramble comes with such great sides- even if there's no mini jam jar needed. Whatever the little chocolatey swirls are they look hard to resist.
Glad wegman's had a roast for you! That imagine gravy is really great.
No mules here lately but yours looks very refreshing! I made do with a few bloody marys (extra horseradish please) at a baby shower with exactly zero food options for me....

Where's the part of the post with yr Sebadoh pictures?? Don't tell me you had an extra hour, no dessert, AND no concert date night??
The croissants aren't even double chocolate this time!!
Balderdash.

What are chocolate croissants like compared to the ones you had? I've never had a chocolate one and don't recall ever seeing them around.

The season of the roast has begun!

Isn't a bad chocolate croissant still good? That breakfast looks pretty impressive, as well. Colder weather has me leaning towards heartier breakfasts...

You always have such good breakfasts!

I have never tried the gardein holiday roast but I have had the individual stuffed gardein turkey. I've never been much of a fan though of the stuffing that they put in the vegan roasts. This year I found some gardein turkey cutlets which I hope taste good!

Ooooh great breakfast! Your tofu scrambles look better and better every weekend.. funny that the menu still says bacon. Looks like sausage to me. ;) While not traditional chocolate croissants those still look delicious.

How was the Gardein roast? It's strange, I enjoyed the stuffed turkey things the first time I had them... then I tried them again last year and I wasn't a huge fan. Hopefully you'll be able to find the other one closer to the holidays... I know how much you like that one :)

Hey Now!!!!

Hannah, did you drink Crabbies when you were throwing some shrimp on the barbie?

Unknown, I eat so much bread ordinarily, I decided to not pay $3 just to use the little jams. Did the person throwing the shower know you were vegan and still had no hummus or fruit salad? I'd need a few stiff drinks too to attend something like that. You seem like the type that would give a generous gift.

FF, the Sebadoh show supposedly started at 8pm. I'm well asleep by that time. Someone else must've made 'Sheila's Favorite Chocolate Croissants' yesterday. Wonder if they're different every week? That would be interesting.

RVs, Chocolate Croissants are just like regular Croissants but with a bit of soft dark Chocolate in the middle. Mr. SV has always been particularly fond of them. I always preferred plain Croissants. It is the season of the Roast -- just carve off a slab and bake!

Abby Bean, the Chocolate Croissants aren't bad. But they're called 'Sheila's Favorite'. 'Sheila' is the billionairess, Sheila Johnson, who owns the joint. A food item that is her favorite should be at least above average, IMO.

VGG, the little bit of stuffing found in these faux roasts is always made better with Mushroom Gravy.

Sarah, were you busy with Tyler and Eddie this past weekend? I missed your comments.

Nope. Because we don't call them shrimp in Australia; they're prawns.
