Sunday, November 24th

Due to the sub-freezing temps (thanks, Ingrid!), Mr. SVegetarian kindly dropped me off and picked me up at the door to the Salamander Resort this morning. That way, I didn't have to hoof it all the way (up hill both ways) from Guest Parking to Harrimans Grill. 'Tofu Scramble' $12 Vine-Ripened Tomatoes, Green Onions, Tempeh Sausage (the menu still says 'Tempe Bacon') and Roasted Potatoes was so good...
For his troubles, Mr. SVegetarian enjoyed a side order of 'Sheila's Favorite Chocolate Croissants' $5. Today there were five of them all snuggled together...

Mixed Vegetables and Tofu' (aka #22) $8.95 from Loving Hut for lunch...
Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute, Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Steamed Broccoli for dinner...
An LPQ Hemp Seed Blondie $2.95 for dessert...
Cereal and a Sandwich tomorrow? Perhaps.

I'm confused about the dropoff/ pick up thing... Did you eat there? Or pick something up for mr. SV? Or did you just make him walk? Whatever, too much to think about.
Are those chocolate chips in the Blondie? I gotta check my LPQ to see if they have those.

That was sweet of Mr. SV to drop you off & pick you up at the door. It was pretty cold here today. We woke up to a wind chill that was below zero. Ugh.

Breakfast looks really great and I'm really starting to get excited about the roast on Thursday.

Awww door to door service, that's so sweet! It was unbelievably cold and windy here today so I didn't even leave my house haha. Your tofu scramble looks perfect as always and I'm sure Mr. SV enjoyed his croissants. Love the Loving Hut lunch as always :) I'm still intrigued by the blondie!

Yup, I'll be with Delilah for Thanksgiving. I doubt she'll be decked out but I guess we'll just wait and see! ;)

That is an impressive plate of scramble and such! Very nice of the Mr to do drop off and pick up- it was motherlovin cold here today too (25! Yikes!)
I remember that loving hut menu had a gazillion choices, funny that the more simple fu and veggies is your favorite. The inside shot of that blondie has me convinced i need one- nice and dense looking with choco chips?!

The hostess is making roasted veggies, i don't think i could get the whole cauli there in one piece....making a big arugala, fennel, apple, celery, dried fig, pumpkin seed salad with pomegranate seeds ontop to bring along with tempeh to add to my portion (this crowd would not eat tempeh). If all goes well i'll be a bit too drunk to care much what my dinner is......;)

ahhh how nice of Mr. SV

That breakfast looks incredible! I wish I could find a place that sells that good of a breakfast and actually wake up on time to go out and eat it!

Still need to try the hemp see blondie from LPQ!

My brain cannot understand how it can be uphill both ways. Physics? I'm so confused.

Another super delicious day! Sadly, the cold is staying longer around here too - none of this "clearing out" they promised. I don't want to go outside!

I think that chocolate croissants are a nice reward. It ranks pretty closely to "foot massage" in my book.

Hey Now!!!!

FF, Mr. SV dropped me off at the restaurant and then parked the car. He volunteered so that both of us weren't subjected to the nasty weather. I'd have done the same for him if I was driving. Seriously. Yes, CCs in the Blondies. Really good. You will like them.

RVs, below zero?! I hope the girls wore their jackets outside. If the Roast is for just you & Mike, I wouldn't bake the whole thing, just the amount you want to eat.

Sarah, oh I hope Delilah will be decked out. It will help make the day so much less horrible.

Unknown, I know those NY skyscrapers can create some painful wind tunnels. I'm also surprised that simple Tofu dish is my favorite at Loving Hut. I used to only order all their American dishes. Your Thanksgiving Salad sounds fantastic. I hope the other dinner attendees are too stupid to eat it and you get to have it all to yourself.

VGG, there definitely needs to be more vegan breakfast options available. If you are able to procure some LPQ Blondies, I recommend doing so.

Hannah, 'uphill both ways' - that's called good old American humor.

Ingrid, at least you don't absolutely have to go outside till Thursday. Remy will keep you warm.
