Saturday, November 16th

'Creamy Breakfast Risotto' $7 from The Randy Radish for breakfast. Maple Syrup, Ginger, Organic Soy Milk, Chia Seeds, Banana and Granola...
it was like Rice Pudding in case you couldn't surmise...
Skinny Bitch Red Wine 'Beef' Stew for dinner. The recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of Red Wine and I didn't want to waste any good stuff in it, so I finally unwrapped a bottle I'd received for Christmas last year from a co-worker I'm not too fond of. How coincidental was it that the brand was 'Fat Bastard'?! (Also, forgot to get Peas for the Stew, but it's still a great recipe).
A 'Yeast Raised Glazed Donut' $2 from The Randy Radish for dessert. Very glad I stocked up on these...
Here is Mango enjoying that hyacinth basket I bought last year. The greatest sense of accomplishment I got today was cutting two dingle berries off his butt. This pic was taken prior to that experience.
Apparently, more dining out tomorrow. Can't wait to see where it will be.

Dang! I was a little confused about the breakfast risotto - weird that they don't actually list the rice as one of the ingredients?? I was like, do they soak the granola?? But anyway, it looks and sounds awesome. I'm definitely guilty of having eaten leftover vegan rice pudding for breakfast at least once but this sounds much healthier. What a great idea.
I love it when cats put up with you coming at their butt with scissors. If only everyone were so trusting.

What a creative breakfast- the granola is a nice addition! That stew seems popular lately....and my dad actually got that wine as a funny gift from a friend last year! Haha, good call on cooking with it. What can't Randy make???
Your cat looks so regal there! I'm sure she will forgive you for the grooming before long...

No lunch today? Mango looks as if he is suspicious of what you are about to do to him.

Oh lord I wish I hadn't been eating when I got to the bit about the cat.

Hahahaha poor Mango. SUch a sweet face, he had no idea what was coming!

The breakfast risotto sounds incredible. It looks really creamy and delicious too. What a fun new breakfast to enjoy. The wine brand is so funny and the stew looks fantastic! Donuts are always a good idea :)

The things we do for our beloved animal family members. . .

I have one serving of soup left, and decided that I'll make some more. I'm going to try a few small tweaks to see if that makes a difference.

I can't even deal with the your Randy Radish treats! So jealous!

P.S. My captcha code is nvegan. I'm glad the machine has realized our common interest.

Mango is so adorable but he looks like he's anticipating the dingle berry cutting. :)

Pretty different breakfast but I think I'd really like it. It certainly sounds good. Glad you enjoyed the stew, too. Did Ingrid inspire that?

Hey Now!!!!

FF, I assumed the Risotta was Chia Pudding when I bought it. The key to trimming cat butt is to not let them see you're holding any implements. Just distract the front end while going to work on the back end.

Unknown, I'm also still prejudiced against screw top bottles of wine, even though we're not supposed to be anymore

Blessed Mama, no lunch, just a lot of that fancy Rice Pudding for a late breakfast.

Hannah, I'm sure you weren't eating anything Dingle Berriesh whilst perusing my blog...were you?

Sarah, it was a unique breakfast idea and we definitely need more vegan Donuts in this area.

Stragglers...

Ingrid, can't wait to hear what ideas you come up with for the stew. Should be interesting.

RVs. I thought of making the stew before Ingrid, but she just got it done before me.
