The moment I read your dessert, immediately my mind thought: "I said, a boom chalka boom,". Childhood summer camp, perhaps? Maybe I'm the only one with ornery camp chants in my history.
Colorado is having a soup-worthy rainy evening. . .but will it be lentil?
I agree, it definitely looks like a great food day. I love that it is soup season (60 degrees over the weekend, yay!) and I've also wanted to try that ravioli (I think they have a butternut squash flavor?). I wish it was gluten free. I could totally go for a nice piece of chocolate right now...
I love the dessert name! I'd eat it just for the title.
It all looks yummy; It's been way too long since I've had ravioli. I'm not a big fan of the spinach flavor of the Rising Moon though...I usually stick to the squash ones. I wish they'd make some new rockin' vegan varieties.
ha...I thought the same thing that Ingrid did when I saw your dessert. :o) I'm getting ready for soup myself, since where are having some cooler weather. The ravioli looks so good. I haven't had ravioli in 2 years. I've got to get some of that!
Mom should just give you the recipe for her lentil soup. She should know you don't share recipes unless there's a link ... sure looks good, every single time you have it.
Ingrid, I believe that's why they named the candy bar 'Boom Choca Boom'. Cuz we all know the chant. Get it?
FF, it's great Ravioli. I think you would approve. The sauce is Wegman's. Only .99/jar. I think you would approve also.
VaVa, the Chocolate Bar is gluten free so no excuse!
Rose, I know you prefer the Squash Ravioli, but I've never made a 'butter & Sage' sauce, so I don't feel comfortable buying that Ravioli. One day I'll risk it.
Molly, we're getting into the 50's tonight! DO post some of Mike's soups.
Michelle2, a lot of vegans make their own Ravioli using WonTon wrappers. You might want to give that a try.
Jessica, I've tried relentlessly to get Mom's recipe. It's top secret. All I know is that the mysterious 'something something' is Orange Peel. The thick texture involves adding high quality Olive Oil just when the Lentils would be absorbing the water. Already I've said too much!

I've always wanted to try that ravioli! Looks good. What kind of sauce do you use?

We haven't had that ravioli in a while. I love it!
There will be lots of soup over the coming months here. It's already in the 30's at night. Ugh. I could go for some lentil soup today.
