WTF Wednesday

Still feeling a little iffy from all the Eggless Egg Salad yesterday. I don't know why it affected me that way, it was fantastic while I was eating it. A bowl of leftover Chili with added TVP for lunch.
Boca Chickn Patties and Corn on the Cob. (It's not so easy photographing this kind of food. I'd like to see how VaVa or Rose would approach photographing this dinner).
Dessert was a little piece of the Sticky Bun from Vegan Treats that I bought at Loving Hut a couple weeks ago. Still just as dry and sticky as the day I bought it.
So what have we accomplished here today? Anything? I'm gonna say 'Nothing' and call it a night. See you tomorrow!

I have to say, I'm kind of impressed that you went for the chili even with an iffy tummy! Chili always looks and sounds great to me, but for some reason it's not one of my favorite foods. I sense a challenge! Maybe I'll have to take a whirl at photographing a similar meal (maybe a portabello with sauce or something because I'm pretty sure Boca products all have some sort of wheat in them). Bummer about the cinnamon roll.

When you said Tony Shaloub was on Wings, I thought you meant Cheers and got really excited. That should tell you something about the amount of TV I watch, haha.
Glad to see "Crystal's" chili's still kickin'.
Maybe dunk the sticky bun in some tea? Or hot cocoa - it IS cooling down, ya know.

There's a lot of spare chilli round these parts! I'm the same with my curry, I've eaten it nearly every day this week.

So, you're first picture didn't pop up for me. I just know I'm going to miss that photographic genius of yours! Rose can't hold a candle to you, and boy does she know it. Soft lighting, fruit in the background, any kind of food made to look tantalizing - bah, so overrated!

I'm sorry your still feeling blah! Those chick'n patties will make you feel all better! :o)
I have to agree with VaVa about the chili. I wouldn't dare go there if my belly was iffy of any sorts. It does look good though!

Hey, hope your tummy is feeling better by now. Stomach aches are a bummer.

I think your pics are great, but for fun you could try taking the shot from the table's edge view; that usually makes for an interesting perspective and if you use the macro setting it will probably make the stuff in the background blur and make it look like you meant it to be that way. That's all I do really.

Anyway, I made some really beany chili on Monday, inspired by your weekend chili and I've been eating it for the last 3 days too. It's great for breakfast.

TVP can really help chili, especially if it's too watery. I'm still hoping you are feeling better. If it lasts too much longer, you're going to have to stop blaming the Eggless Egg.

I hope you don't have some sort of stomach bug! There's some kind of stomach bacteria going around at work here.

There will be chili made in this house soon. The nights are definitely calling for it with how cool it's getting!

Hey Now!!!

VaVa, yes, it was difficult to get all the grub in one attractive focused shot. I never noticed any gluten-free burgers. I'll keep an eye out.

FF, it's Tony ShalHoub. Not Shaloub. What kind of fan are you? There is still another bowl left of Crystal's Chili. Wonder how she's doing?

Cecil's Mom, Curry probably is the British equivalent to American Chili. There are a lot of strong opinions about both.

Blessed Mama, that's the style difference between myself & Rose -- my pics display the gritty realism that veganism often entails. Rose depicts an unattainable dream world.

Michelle2, Boca Chick'n Patties are so excellent. I can't believe all the years I wasted not eating them cuz I didn't think they were that great when I first had them.

Rose, I went with counter's edge view on dinner tonight. Looking good, Mr. Kotterrrrr! (Post pics and recipe of your Chili please).

Jessica, aka Vegan Chili Guru, looking forward to seeing what you discover in Philly. Chili-wise.

Molly, thanks, no stomach bug. Just overdid it. Still pondering your last post. Very informative.
