Lunch was the 'Vegan Club' from the NoVa Food Truck. Basically Tofu, Avocado, LTO on Pumpernickle with two side servings of Fruit Salad $7. I've been wanting to try a Food Truck for eons -- expecting it to be a steaming, manic scene out of 'Top Chef'. Instead, it was so mellow and chill. I thought the folks working there would fall asleep before I got my grub.
Field Roast Classic Meatloaf with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Baked Potato with Sour Supreme for dinner.
Time warp: There was a package waiting for me when I got home from work.
Half Baked Truffles, Mexican Hot Chocolate Snickerdoodles and a personal note from Sarah telling me how I'm her most favorite blogger and inspiration for blogging blah blah. When I read it, I started to feel a little guilty that I technically kinda cyber-bullied Sarah into having a giveaway so I wouldn't have to make the Truffles myself. Later I ate a Cookie...
and a Truffle...and decided it's time to hone my manipulation skillz. Look at the mixture of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Brownie Batter dipped in Chocolate!!!! More later.

LOL! I'm gonna take that to mean you liked it? ;) Love the photos you took! The cookie with the truffle blurred in the background, NICE! The sandwich looked DELICIOUS, I love pumpernickel bread and all the things you put in it, as well as a double dose of fruit!
Don't talk to me about those goodies! Mine are lost at some post office and I'm seriously considering not going to work tomorrow to track them down. (Also because I hate my job.)
what do you mean they are lost at the post office?!
A day of yummy! The sandwich is inspiring in itself, might have to try that combination this weekend. The food trucks 'round here specialize in animal and grease. Might have to find the NoVa next time I visit!
Those desserts look absolutely divine. Can't wait to live vicariously through the photos!
Awesome post! I haven't had pumpernickel bread in a long time. The sandwich looks really yummy.
All right, I've checked out Sarah and the food truck sites. I'll have to nose around on Sarah's site some more. About the food truck's menu, I began wondering how on earth you stopped by there because everything was dead animals. But then I saw nestled in at the bottom "vegan club." Wha? How did you even know they would have something to offer you? I'm glad they do, by the way. Obviously, they have their hand on the food pulse of America, and now with you as a customer, maybe they'll offer more choices.
So, you've cyber-bullied your way to having your own personal vegan bake shop delivering to your door! Well done! lol. Those treats look amazing! Well done to Sarah too, she's obviously a talented vegan baker.
It's all looking good; the food and the pics! Score on the vegan food truck. We don't have many food trucks around, but I'm keeping my eye open for some with vegan options...there's a Mexican food truck by my house that sells tongue. Yuck!
Your food truck lunch looks so good! I have so been wanting to get food from a food truck, but being as I live in the middle of now where, I will never have that opportunity...blah blah blah.
Anyway....thank you so much for suggesting that Sarah make those half baked truffles, cuz...OMG...they are awesome! I shared one with Tony, but the rest are all mine! :o)
Were you trying to take the photography advice on your supper? That angle sure looks interesting, with the placement of the mushroom, the fork bite ready to go, and the potato stuffed just so.
But that dessert treat looks great. Sounds like you really scared Sarah into flattering you - I'd watch out if you gave her your address.
Hey Now!!!!
VaVa, you put together a classy and moy deliciouso package. Way over the top.
FF, you mean to say your mail man ate your goodies? There goes his Xmas present!
Ingrid, you have quite a laundry list of vegan hot spots to hit on your next DC visit. Screw that museum sh*t.
Deb, not much I can do if great vegan grub comes my way. Just gotta show it to the world, that's all.
Blessed Mama, when I see the word 'vegan' on a menu, I am there. No matter what it is. It is my duty. My call to arms.
Rose, there are probably 100 vegan food trucks circling your house as I type this! (eating tongue is so f*cking sick. I would probably eat an eyeball or brain before tongue).
Michelle2, I've blogged for years and years. Nuthin to show for it. TIll now. I'll be damned if I'm sharing! But that's just me. To each his or her own.
Jessica, getting the 'Meat Loaf' and Potato in one shot wasn't as difficult as two ears of Corn and two Chick'n Patties, but, yes, Rose's advice was in my mind. (I have Sarah's addy as well just in case she gets all stalkerish).
