Multicolor Veganess

A Wegman's Salad Bar Salad for lunch.
Boca Chik'n Patties and Rice & Beans for dinner. Can't recommend the Rice & Beans, way too sweet.
Like A Virgin Cherry Pie from Sarah Kramer's 2011 Calendar (month of February) for dessert. (I used frozen Cherries, Triple Sec for the Grand Marnier and Pecans instead of Walnuts). Very gourmet result from a simple recipe.
Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot.

Multicolored IS the best way to get all your vitamins! Salad looks great.
I'm 0 for 2 on that Sarah Kramer calendar. Making a cherry pie your February recipe just seems like a dumb thing to do - couldn't she have made it more seasonal, or was she too caught up in taking 700 photos of herself?

I can't believe I'm failing this calendar thing already, but I think I'll wait on this pie until we can get fresh cherries. It looks so good!

We just had those patties about a week ago. They are actually some that JK will eat - he doesn't like a lot of store-bought packaged mock meats. No rest for me there! So, what's on top? Salsa?

Greetings and Salutations,

Michelle1, yes, the patties look ORANGE! NOW STOP MAKING THE BROWNIES!

FF, give yourself a break! I had no desire to make a Cherry Pie in February or any calendar month for that matter. If Bianca hadn't done it, I never would have.

Dianne, the fresh frozen Cherries I bought (Wegmans brand) were surprisingly nice (and pitted). The pie was much better than I anticipated.

Blessed Mama, that JK is living the life. I love Boca's Chick'n Patties -- always w/regular Marinara Sauce on top.

Susan, I didn't want to spend any more $$ than I had to on making this pie and Triple Sec was the only fruity liqueur in the house.

Rose, thanks! I'm try hard to avoid the brown.

Michelle2, thanks for noticing the salad.
