Nachos and Brownies

In preparation for my waistline-expanding dinner, lunch was the rest of the Vegetable Soup.
My Nachos Fixins:
The TJ's Soy Chorizo is fried up with some Onion.
The baked Chips, Chorizo & Beans are served on Shredded Lettuce and then topped with fresh Avocado and dollops of Sour Supreme.
Below are the fixins for Mr. SV's Nachos. I'm not showing the finished product because there was some cheese involved.
These are some rich and chocolatey Brownies (although the pic came out strange).
Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot.

DAAAAANNG! For one, your soyrizo nacho creation looks killer delicious! Second, Your brownie pic looks great! I want some for me now. Must make brownies urgently. :) I always have those brownies warmed with a healthy scoop of Purely Decadent vanilla ice cream So good and balances the rich chocolate! Thanks for taste testing my recipe!

I wanted to make nachos today too but got sidetracked. Yours look good. Is it traditional to include "meats" on nachos?

Where did you find that soy chorizo? All I made that was special for super bowl was lava flows :)

Yummm nachos! I think your dinner was actually relatively healthful for super bowl sunday...there was even lettuce!

I always liked that really crappy cheese sauce on my nachos instead of shredded cheese anyway. You'd think that it would be easy to come up with a vegan substitute, as there is probably no real cheese in it anyway, but so far I have been unsuccessful at that!

Those nachos look and sound awesome! We went to some friends house and had Mexican. I think she got tired of me asking what all was in the food that she had made....ha I ended up eating a bean, rice, lettuce, and avocado burrito. :o)
Oh, and those brownies...I need to make some of those ASAP!

Nachos and brownies - awesome! I like the big chunks of onion in the soyrizo.

I feel a little sneaky seeing some of what Mr SV eats - I've wondered from time to time. My Mr eats cheese too. But I tell you, I prefer the Nonna's over Tostitos.

Wow, your entire food day looks amazing! I am impressed by the health level of that soup, and I could just munch that kale. Your nachos were definitely recipe-worthy, and I'm so glad you posted it. But, why nachos only once a year? And those brownies look marvelous! Your pic didn't turn out weird - I think it looks as good as the original. Yummy stuff.

Woo Hoo!!! Eleven comments! Yes, I'm counting the Spammer!

Morgan, your Brownie recipe is excellent. Who knew a single teaspoon of oil would be enough to make a decadent batch of Brownies????

FF, unfortunately, I think a lot of people do put GAG! meat on nachos. So sick. Maybe you should get yourself checked for ADHD.

Carissa, the Soy Chorizo is from Trader Joes. What the heck is a Lava Flow??? Do you think you're back at Diamond Head or something?

Michelle1, Super Bowl Sunday certainly stirs up some deep seated issues doesn't it?

Dianne, I agree that my celebration was healthier only because I didn't feel nearly as sh*tty last night or this morning as I thought I would.

Susan G. (aka, Susan, aka the only Susan I know), as you can see, I've totally given up all hope for vegan cheese. Ain't gonna happen. Gotta move on.

Michelle2, your Super Bowl Party hostess sounds delightful.

Jessica, yeah, Mr. SV didn't even know I photographed his food. Ha! We can do lots of sneaky things behind our Mr.'s backs...if we want to! Heeeee;-)

DL3, coolness! Say 'Hi' to Yusef Islam for me!

Sara, the TJ's Soy Chorizo is pretty good. I don't use it too often, so it's mainly kept in the freezer (or in your case -- outside).

Blessed Mama, Nachos are indulged in only once a year here because not everyone has fun 24 X 7 x 365;-(
