Yay Food!

Didn't mean for yesterday's post to be such a bummer. I've always hated T'giving and that combined with a painful bout of overeating (Just one plate of food! That's all I had! No dessert or seconds! How bad would I have felt if I ate animal products? Gross!) and the surreal nature of blogging all snowballed into yesterday's FOOD IS NOT MY FRIEND WAAAH! post. I'll pretend to be normal for the time being. Lunch today was a container of this energy drink. I did enjoy myself while drinking it, although it has a strong stevia taste which is not to my liking.
Dinner was a simple Lentil Soup (just Lentils, Celery, Onions, a TBSP of Tomato Paste, a couple Bay Leaves, Chili Powder, Cumin, S&P).
Black Swan Shiraz (when you fall off the horse, you gotta get right back on). And that's it. No dessert. Nada. I will catch up with everyone's blogging within the next few days.

I wouldn't like the strong stevia taste either. That's one thing I've never liked about protein drinks...they seem to leave some odd after taste, at least they do for me. I am hoping that some day I will find one that I really like. Looks like your little doggie wants to try it. :o)
That soup sure does look inviting! Hope you feel better soon!

That soup looks perfect! Lentils are magic, they'll get you back on your horse in no time!

Take care, and I hope you feel better soon! :)

it seems like they would take care of that stevia taste while it was in the making...
yesterday i only ate one plate of food but it was two dif types of mashed potato then a biscuit thing then stuffing..carb overload!! i made the mistake of wieghing myself that night...i shopuld post what i normally eat in a day. ??should i?

yesterdays food looked really good, you get to eat at some pretty fantastic places.

do you ever use stevia in your food? there are some brands i like, like truvia and sun crystals which is half sugar, or something like that. i feel like im obsessed with low calorie food.

oh something else that might make you feel better..i single handedly ate all the gravy that came with my "feeds six" tofurky....

It sounds like you are feeling a little better today. It looks like you had a very light day of eating. The lentil soup looks really good.

Where you obliged to spend Thanksgiving with meateaters and judgemental family members? Because I could understand why that would be a bumber.

I've somehow escaped meat centered Thanksgivings for about 5 out of the past 6 years. I think I'm done with them. Unless my husband tells me otherwise.

I also just asked him what sounds good to eat right now. We're on our way home from vacation, and I feel generally stuffed and sick of eating. Neither of us could think of anything that sounds good.

I thought about you a lot the past two days because I was in your country. The word "Shenandoah" is literally all over the place.

What an enthusiastic title! I'm a fan of using "yay" but I sometimes feel a little silly saying it.

Hello, Ladies!!!

I do believe the magic lentils will restore me.

Michelle1, thanks, but now I feel bad for you.

Deb, I need to eat light and fresh like you. I've made so many mistakes!!!!

Montreal Jessica, there was a lot of stress, fatigue and the wrong planets in alignment on Thursday. Judgemental meat eaters would've been a relief.

Jenny, I hope you enjoyed your travels through the Shenandoah Valley. People usually like it.
