Field Roast Rules

The salad bar at Whole Food's today was really hurtin' -- the Balsamic Vinaigrette had separated and only Oil would come out of the bottle, the Tomatoes were mostly unripe, there was a congested kid trying to infect all of it -- but I persevered and, under the blackening 'shrooms and mealy inedible Tofu lies a good bit of iron providing Spinach:
Dinner was more leftovers, this time w/WF's Wild Mushroom Gravy. Yes, I do love Field Roast. To those bloggers eating Tofurky and saying they like it, I say this, "You know not what you speak of!" Fortunately for you, I will continue to link to your misinformed blogs because I'm too lazy to clean up my URL list.
Dessert was the opposite of a leftover.
Frontera Malbec. Good stuff. Only grimaced once after the first sip...

Yike, poor you at WF! I'm the compleat hypocondriac and get symptoms of a cold, cancer, hemophilia, whatever, for hours after being exposed to some inconsiderate sufferer, though they miraculously tend to disappear once I forget about it...Field Roast isn't appearing yet in my constellation of convenient grocery stores, but I must admit yours certainly does look good...

Hey, my vote for the Thanksgiving table was the Field Roast. We tried one of each before the big day and I got outvoted. As it's available year-round, we'll be enjoying more of it, I'm sure. Dinner looks pretty good, especially after your questionable lunch.

Sounds like a rough day at the salad bar. But dinner does look like it more than compensated. Also, I do agree in the "one-grimace rule" being a sign of fine wines.

Not a pretty picture of a kid all congested around the salad bar. I was happy to hear you had a lot of spinach under your mushrooms and tofu:) That Field Roast with Mashed Potatoes and Mushroom gravy looks so amazing. Iam definately going to see if I can find one here. Thank you!

Haha! Field Roast is pretty awesome! But I love Tofurky too. I go back and forth. They're both quite tasty.

Oh, I can't stand it when I'm really looking forward to a salad, and then the quality of it disappoints. Bummer. By the way, we love field roast over here, too! Good stuff.

I feel so annoyed inside at WF when their offerings are meager. I expect them to feed me when I'm hungry!

I do like Field Roast AND Tofurky. I don't know which I prefer. What I prefer is the outer, "skin" (ew, sorry, didn't know how else to describe it) of each of them.

WF needs to get their act together so you can have some fab lunches! :o)
Field Roast is so on my WF list...I can't wait to try it. Your dinner looks sooooo good! I admit, I'm jealous....

Hello, Ladies!!!

Zoa, this kid could be heard coughing from aisles away. WIsh I'd donned biohazard gear.

Jessica, screw that democratic BS!

Rose, yes, those first few sips can be rough.

Deb, you were the inspiration for loading up on the plant material!

Bianca, when is that cookbook coming out? Soon?

Morgan, trust your instincts.

Susan, WF's PB & Ghiradelli Chips is a guaranteed winner every time.

Blessed Mama, it's times like these that try vegans' souls.

Michelle1, I don't understand 'followers', so we're even.

Jenny, sounds like you have a 'Silence of the Lambs' issue going on. If Ryan needs comforting, I'm here for him.

Michelle2, an hours drive to a WF is not that much. I'm seriously thinking of driving eight hours to get some freakin' ice cream in Cincinnati! Grab Maggie, get in the car and go!

Field Roast is awesome! I had their roast en croute this year for Thanksgiving for the first time. It's definitely something that I'll get again. Their apple sage sausages are also a year-round favorite.
