An Economically Sound Day

Lunch today cost half as much as yesterday, probably because a classically trained chef was not in the kitchen. We both started with a cup of the Veggie Chili $2.95 at the always reliable Makenzie's in Berryville,,,
We also both got the 'Vegan In The Valley' $7.50 for Boca Burgers & Fries. My big head blocked the light.
The plebeian theme continued at dinner with Yves Salami on Ezekiel w/Vegenaisse & Route 11 BBQ Chips.
Pumpkin Pie for dessert. Mr. SV has backed away from the pie temporarily. Yum!
Speaking of Mr. SV, he pointed out this big mushroom on a piece of recently purchased firewood. I've been searching the interwebs, but I'm not sure if it is a Hen of the Woods or not. Anyone know if it is safe to eat?
A bottle of Lost Vineyards Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon was also enjoyed $3.19/bottle. Good sh*t once you get past the first couple sips.

Oh, yes, this is much more up my wallet's aisle. That chili's base looks very spicy and good.

I like some economically sound days mixed in.

I notice the same thing about cheap wine - okay after the first few sips, that is, unless I have too much and it's worse the next day. You know, I'm not sure if it's my Google trying to be smart or what, but when I searched for Lost Vineyards (to see if they distribute here, of course) - the third result was your page.

I got a Boca Burger for lunch Friday at Red Robin. I got them to add guacamole to it though...talk about yummy! Of course I was so hungry that I didn't even think about taking a picture of it until I had it half eaten. :o)
Hmmmm....I don't know about that mushroom, sure looks good though.

Hello, Ladies!!!

Blessed Mama, sometimes the simple things in life are best.

Jessica, I don't think Lost Vineyards wastes money on frivolous things like websites.

Michelle1, yes, you are correct. I researched that shroom and it has no poisonous look-a-likes.

Rose, I won't hold you accountable if I die from ingesting a poisonous mushroom. Just Michelle1.

Michelle2, Red Robin has been on my 'to do' list for about a month! You go, Girl!
