Day Twenty Six

Lunch today was the Veggie Sandwich from ZPizza and a cup of Garden Vegetable Soup from Panera. On Saturday, I made Veggie Chili (our oven is still broken, so it will be stove top meals for a while). I had mine in the bread bowl that came with my soup from Panera:

This was my first time eating out of a bread bowl. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be, it was actually kinda difficult.

The last time you had that veggie sandwich you made me want one. And ... it has happened again. That really looks like a good sandwich. I can see why get one often.

I assume the bread bowl was too firm and that was the problem you had? They are normally hollowed out, brushed with oil and baked so they are very hard. That is why they hold the soup without falling about. The filling needs to sit in the bread bowl long enough to make the bread tender if you plan to eat the bread. I hope that helped.

Yeah, I thought I would be able to tear off pieces of the bowl, but I guess it really needs to be eaten with a fork and knife. The bread was very tough.

I used to be all about the Panera Bread bowls.. I never knew what to do either.. to be honest, I feel like you waste some of the soup bc the bread soaks it up..lol.

Still looks good, though!
