Saturday, February 2nd

Lunch was at Mr. Noodle and Rice, where I had the Teriyaki Tofu as an appetizer...
and Vegetable Bi Bim Bop (with more Tempura Tofu) for my entree.
Another Chili experiment for dinner that was waaaay too spicy.
Half a Coconut Cupcake from Natalia's Elegant Creations for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Nachos.

The bibimbap looks awesome! I've never had tofu tempura but I WANNA. Nachos sounds perfect for tomorrow. I wish I knew people who cared about football.

Oooh I'm with FF, the bibimbap and tofu tempura look amazing!! The teriyaki app looks really great too. Yikes with the spicy chili! Looks good though. Gotta love the cupcake.

Good luck at ABC tomorrow! Let me know what you find! Emailed the correct address for Stoli so we'll see if I get a response. I know the original is vegan so hopefully all of the flavors are!

That tofu and bibimbap look so amazing- i always forget about korean food somehow... The tempura tofu looks so much more exciting than the cold tofu with soy dipping sauce i usually get at japanese restaurants...(i always have to remember to say no bonito flakes! It doesnt say ever on the menu but sometimes comes with it)
How do you calm the spicy of the chili? Tofutti sour supreme? Crackers? Or just tears?

May I just echo all of the above lunch adoration. . .what they said.

Do tell - was it a prepackaged spiced blend that took the chili too far? I stick with chili powder, and call it a day.

I am looking forward to seeing your nachos.

Hey Now!!!! Oops. Accidentally hit 'publish' before I was ready.

FF, Tofu Tempura is pretty great. I wish I knew people that cared about artisan beer brewing, indy bands and 'zines. Oh hey, I do: You!

VaVa, I didn't have a chance to get to the ABC store today. I'll go tomorrow and report back. Bear in mind that our liquor stores are small.

Nikki, this was my first time with Tempura Tofu. Such a great idea.

Unknown, I am just going to avoid this batch of Chili and hope Mr. SV finishes it.

Ingrid, there was Chili Powder, Cayenne, Paprika and Oregano as well as two Jalapenos. I had to take two Tums about 1am. I've never done that in my life.
