Tuesday, October 11th

'Lotus Spicy' with Brown Rice from Lotus Vegetarian $7.95 Diced Soy Protein sautéed with Dried Tofu, Celery, Organic Carrots, Green and Red Bell Peppers, sprinkled with Peanuts in Spicy Kung Pao Sauce. Spring Roll on the side. They added new items to their menu since the last time I visited, so hopefully I'll try something new next time.
Chickpea Cutlets and Sweet Potato Fries with Curry Sauce (Vegenaisse and Curry Powder) for dinner.
Align Left
A Pumpkin Chai Nicobella Truffle for dessert. Gone through some temperature changes, but still tastes great.

Ooooo chocolate truffles. I need those.

All around, a delicious day! Congratulations on working from home! That would be so nice. Unfortunately, seventh graders can't teach themselves - so, I have to show up.

Your chickpea mashing skills are far superior to mine. As is your not-eating-every-chocolate-in-the-box at once skill. Pumpkin chai would definitely have been my first truffle taste, way over blueberry.

Whoa, I am jealous of every single thing you ate today. Your lunch sounds delicious and chickpea cutlets and sweet p fries?! YUM! and the pumpkin chai truffle sounds like something I need to try and recreate ;)

I like the "curry sauce" idea. Isn't Vegenaise wonderful?!

Chocolate truffles... mmmm.

I'm so excited about your next installment!

Everything looks delicious as usual!

Cecil certainly does have his own Facebook...he doesn't update it too often, something to do with not having opposable thumbs and it being difficult to type or something...

I would happily eat all of these delicious-looking items. And I agree with FF that your cutlets look way more cutlet-y than mine (which always look like chickpeas in binder).

Thanks for the thorough description of the lotus spicy. I don't think I would have known of everything that was in it!

I'm jealous of fries two days in a row.

Hey Now!!!!

Carissa, methinks you have everything already. Let's not get greedy.

Ingrid, 7th graders??? How horrible. Only slightly less horrible than 8th graders.

FF, there were long threads on PPK dedicated to the mashing of the Chickpeas for the Cutlets. It is not something to be taken lightly. As for the Truffles, my Mother always said, 'Life is like a box of Truffles...'

Kimberly, time for some deets on the summer romance.

VaVa, no need to be jealous, it was not what I would've considered a stellar food day.

Miss Rachel, indeed, sometimes it's easy to forget what life was like pre-Vegenaisse.

Blessed Mama, well, maybe I shouldn't do the 'installment' thing if people are gonna get excited. Certainly not worth that.

Nicola, somehow I just knew that if anyone had a Facebook page, it was Cecil! Cutest little guy on the plant.

Stacy, the measure of a vegan is in one's Chickpea Cutlets. I firmly believe that.

Jessica, God bless Cut & Paste!

I used to teach 8th grade so I agree. And it's too late. We're already all excited about all your future installments. It's a lot of pressure, I know.
