Sunday, October 2nd

It was 'Seitan Making' weather today -- cold and wet. Thus, the remainders of Stroganoff for lunch.
Veganomicon's Simple Seitan with Mashed Potatoes & Roasted Brussel Sprouts for dinner.
In preperation for hibernation, dessert was a really old piece of a Sticky Bun from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut. (A little white frosting from a different dessert got stuck to it).
Some Chickpea Cutlets were made today as well, so look forward to seeing those this week.

The stroganoff looks awesome; parsley sprig duly noted, so does the seitan. I like to make seitan on cold cloudy days too.

Wow, I'm imagining you with a special dessert cupboard full of all the different ones lined up and you just go to it and select whatever you're in the mood for at the time...kind of like a dessert trolley.

Glad you think my avatar is more accessible...I think it makes me look like Drooper from the Banana Splits, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, depending on your perspective.

Yeah, how many desserts do you keep in one place at a time? I definitely think Shen here has a dessert trolley :)

The sticky bun looks pretty good though. Are those pecans on top?

We finally got to go to a Loving Hut a few months ago in Toronto. I was ready to join the cult by the end of the meal--noms! For that reason it's probably a good thing that we don't have one in our town :).

We love stroganoff! Chickpea cutlets are a favorite, too. Yum!

Ha! I like Rose's picture of a dessert trolley, although I imagine more of one of those conveyer belt things...or a tie rack...but for desserts.
Anywhoo, both seitan and chickpea cutlets are perfect for this weather.

Well, all this talk about a dessert trolley - if you have one, you better show us a pic! Is that the same parsley sprig from the previous post? It's looking a tad yellowy. I also left you a link to that sandwich thing back in my comment section.

Hey Now!!!!

Rose, if I get the time on WTF Wednesday, I'll showcase my dessert trolley. The Banana Splits was the one show I wasn't into! HR Puffenstuff was more my speed.

Jenny, I can see where being the Lunch Lady is a full time job. After nibbling a perfect "R", who would have any time left to mash Chickpeas and knead gluten??

Isotope, mock my trolley if you will, but soon you will be in awe. The Bun was Stickyness on top and dryness on the bottom. Can't account for what was in the Sticky.

Stacey, you will be fully indoctrinated in the cult of Loving Hut when you're finally researching opening your own franchise.

Molly, and I love Vegan Meatloaf...with Gravy..and Roasted Squash...and Puppies!

FF, I'm keeping my posting specific to the season as nature intended. Not bowing to peer pressure or popular culture in order to win followers or sell zines.

Blessed Mama, au contraire, this was an entirely new sprig of yellow Parsley. On WTF Wednesday, if I don't have to W too much, I'll get a pic of my trolley for all to gawk at.

Michelle2, good luck getting Tony to eat Seitan! Try to get that on video and post it to YouTube.

VaVa, you get me!
