Sunday, October 16th

Succumbing to MoFo peer pressure (aka Ingrid), I made my first Pumpkin Pie Smoothie. Still needs some work. It didn't taste like Pumpkin Pie to me, and didn't look like everyone else's Smoothie. I must be Smoothie impaired.
Field Roast Frankfurter & Wegman's Baked Beans for lunch.
The last of the Black Bean Soup for dinner. Thank God it's gone!
Coming up tomorrow: Dedicating myself to becoming the best vegan blogger on the planet without original recipes, professional photographs or details of my personal life.

You're good enough, you're smart enough, and doggone it, people like you, despite the lack of personal details.

Yerrr! I second Maud!

At least your dog really seemed to like the smoothie.

It is true, you do go short on the personal details but I guess I do too, blog-wise. Speaking for myself, I would always be interested to hear more about you. I seem to recall you talking about a certain wretched coworker back in the day?! Lord knows I got plenty of them myself. Pour us all a hot cup o' Shen!!!

Hooray!! I have done some alterations - mainly vanilla rice milk and a little agave. Read: I sweeten it up a little bit. Don't give up on it - try, try again!

I like to pretend I can take good photos.

Hmmm, smoothie impaired eh? That's rough. Maybe you just have that Life of Brian syndrome, where everyone repeats in unison "We are all individuals!"...and then one guy says on his own, "I"m not." No offense to pumpkin smoothies, individuals, or anyone named Brian.

Well done getting through the hated black bean soup.

Regarding the best vegan blog...Shen, you've definitely got what it takes.

Awww puppy likes the smoothie! Yummy cake too. I personally think your pictures look great and you are an awesome blogger :) Although I'm always a big fan of personal stories no pressure!

I am not sure if I would be into a pumpkin pie smoothie, I like to bite my pumpkin pie, not drink it... I guess I am not much of a molecular chef eh :-)!
I gave up on Mofo, never managed to enroll, so it is sill to try to post a recipe everyday for nothing :-(.

Ciao

That's too bad the smoothie didn't work out for you & wow, did that soup ever last long!

If you ever do feel like posting details about your life, I for one would love to hear about them. It's nice to get to know other bloggers.

Your smoothie looks brighter orange than some I've seen, which is very nice. Your pictures are always fine to me, and it's a rare moment that I provide an original recipe. You should share more about yourself; we're all friends here. Although, sometimes I wish I was anonymous so I could vegan complain about different people in my life, etc. I'm excited to see what you have in store for us! We'll all have to step it up a bit.

Looks like someone disagrees with you being smoothie impaired! As soon as I buy more pumpkin, I'll be trying a pumpkin smoothie. :o)

Ditto on what others said about your personal life...no pressure...ha

I will be honest though...I love your blog just the way it is!

Hey Now!!!!

FF, if only Al Franken hadn't turned his back on comedy. Stuart Smalley was quite the icon.

Isotope, don't be frontin'! Smalley was way before your time! Where can I buy some Raw Snickers?

Stacy, nice metaphor. I believe I was referring to my boss as wretched. The coworkers are good people. Multiple pics were taken to apeasse Jenny that she wasn't in contact with the Gorgon Medusa. None met with my approval. If I am one thing it is vain.

Ingrid, please advise me on what to do with a 99% full bottle of Molasses.

Rose, Mr. SV is the Life of Brian/Holy Grail fanatic. I'm The Meaning Of Life --> This middlin' blog is good enuf for me.

VaVa, spoken like a true neophyte!

Alessandra, didn't look like comments were accepted on your site the past couple weeks. I will return tomorrow to see what's what.

Molly, we only installed one fence a few years ago. $9K. Didn't keep the chickens in or the predators out. A tree came down and smashed two sides of it. We never fixed it.

Jenny, I'm steppin', Miss Jenny! I'm steppin!

Michelle2, aren't you sweet to say so!

To appease me/Jenny? We're all a little vain. That's why you photoshop! That's what I do! I take those zits right off, a little fat here and there. I'm way too vain to post a picture of what I really look like right now. When my sister saw me the other day, she said, "Your face looks...different...maybe it's just bloated."

Molly said...

$9K?!? Oh my. Our first fence only cost 1/3 of that and I thought that was a lot. That really sucks that it didn't work out.
