Saturday, October 8th

Lunch was at Great Sage. It has been several years since I'd been here and apparently I've really been missing out.
My 'Ginger Snap Cookie Cocktail' $9 - Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur, Van Gogh Vanilla Vodka, Frangelico, Soy Milk and Spices. Brown Sugar crust on the rim of the glass, little Cinnamon Stick stirrer.
'Spinach and Artichoke Dip' to start $10 - A warm crock of house-made creamy Artichoke Spinach Dip with Daiya 'Parmesan' and Toasted Crostini. Fantastic! One of the best things I've eaten in ages, and that includes everything. My 'Club Sandwich' $12 - 'Turkey', 'Bacon', Romaine Lettuce, Tomato, Guacamole and Vegenaisse on Toasted Wheat Bread. Served with Kettle Potato Chips. I can't wait to go back!
Mr SV had the 'Chili and Brown Rice' $12 - Chili Bean Trio served with Brown Rice, Fresh Baked Cornbread, Sauteed Garlic Broccoli and Blackened 'Chicken'.
Mr. SV had room for dessert, the lucky b*****d! 'Raw Chocolate Mousse' $7 - Extremely rich, powerful and silky smooth, made with Raw Cacao, Tahitian Vanilla and Agave Nectar.
Five hours later, I enjoyed the leftover Spinach & Artichoke Dip for dinner. Still great .
No dessert for the second night in a row. I'll make up for it soon enough.

I think you surpassed the legal limit of ****s in a post.
The lunch photos are gorgeous. Glad you enjoyed the meal. The drink reminds me of a liquor some guy at work showed me today that sounds pretty awesome: Snap liquor with blackstrap molasses! Check it!

Alright. I'm going to have my grandmother, who lives in Falls Church, start sending me food from these amazing restaurants.

Hey Now!!!!

Molly, such deliciousness as I've never known! So unexpected too! Never saw it coming.

Stacy, I was not exactly demure in my descriptions was I? So embarrassing!

VaVa, I may need to dedicate my life to worshipping the inventor of Spinach & Artichoke dip. I'm thinking whoever they are needs some serious recognition.

FF, if you only knew how difficult it was for me to count the * when all I wanted was to just go to sleep. So I should ask for 'Snap Liquor with Blackstrap Molasses'? I feel a little kinky already!

Ingrid, oh dear! Any Granny who resides in Falls Church has probably already suffered enough in life. Let the old lady live in peace.

Jenny, you have your man under control, so he'd probably bring you the dip at the snap of your fingers. Me? I'll have to work out the logistics to get my own dip during lunch hour.

Michelle2, you really are in a very isolated location.

Rose, if only I'd been going to 'Great Sage' all these years. It was quite the fluke. Oh the wasted meals.

Nicola, I have only had about four Club Sandwiches in my life, so I feel obligated to order them when I see them. It's a thang.

Blessed Mama, it goes without saying we would pick up the Blessed Family at BWI and stop at Great Sage on the way back ot our house.
