Saturday, October 22nd

Lunch was a last vestige of summer: Tomato Sandwich at Market Table Bistro.
Dinner was a first vestige of Thanksgiving: Gardein Stuffed Turk'y and a Baked Sweet Potato.
Dessert was the other half my slice of the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut. Before I could adequately photograph it, Mr. SV cheekily plucked off the puff of 'Whipped Topping' and popped it in his mouth. My battle with his passive aggression is never-ending. Nonetheless, my eating of this Cheesecake was extremely pleasurable.
Coming up tomorrow: the second rapture has passed and you're still alive. What to eat?

Wow, what a great food day! That tomato sandwich is beautiful and those stuffed turkey things are kind of a glutenous guilty pleasure for me. The cheesecake looks great the second time around too :)

I've got to find more varieties of Gardein. So far I've only seen a couple & they always look great when you post them. That cheesecake is calling to me!

haha, naughty Mr.SV! At least it gives the cheesecake a bit of a new look.

I would be more concerned about 11.11.11 than the second rapture.

What was he mad about? Is that the only thing on the sandwich - tomatoes? Looks good.

Ha! Mr. SV needs to get his priorities straight. #1, the raspberry glaze looks way better than meaningless whipped puff and he should have gone for that and #2, which should maybe be #1, you do not mess with Ms. SV's desserts.

That tomato sandwich looks super....plain? Did they add anything to it?

I had no idea a rapture was potentially impending! I'm always the last to hear about these things.
You need to keep that Mister SV in line! Some things are sacred.
Your food looks delish, as always.

I was just thinking, if I want any more fresh tomatoes, I better hit up the farmer's market today! And I will!

Okay, fine. Twist my arm. I will also pick up the Stuffed Turk'y at the store.

Ah, yes. No rapture yet again. I'm a believer of the "no one knows the hour or day". So until then, Shen, please carry on with good eats. :)

Yum! Great food day! You find such delicious foods to eat! If I lived close to you, you'd have to take me grocery shopping... Ha

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, it really was an excellent food day. So much better than a typical lousy food day. Today was great as well.

Molly, if only Gardein was just a few bucks less, I'd live on it. For now, it's a special treat on occasion.

Isotope, 11.11.11! Do tell! I'm off work that day. Should I stay in the basement?

Jenny, through a miscommunication with the server, it was just Tomatoes, but tasted great as is.

FF, it's a family trait Mr. SV inherited from his mother. I've seen her pick the decorations off untouched cakes as well. We need to map that genome immediately.

Carissa, totally plain 'maters on wheat. Tasted great in its simplicity though.

Stacy, we almost forgot about the rapture as well. Maybe it'll be rescheduled. Again.

Ingrid, Gardein Stuffed Turk'y is incredible. The outside was crunchy and the inside was moist! I heated it up on parchment paper as directed. Maybe that's why it turned out so well.

Michelle1, pulleeze! You do so much better than I with just your local Krogers. I've been leaning too heavily on the packaged stuff lately. Gotta get back to making my own meals.

haha, no it isn't really anything to be scared of.

11.11.11 is supposed to be the day that all the energy in the universe aligns, and our bridge to ascension will open.

Basically, it's the day that all of humanity is to find their higher purpose and gain higher consciousness. It's the start of a new era. There is even a big gathering happening in Arizona for it. It's supposed to be one of mother earth's greatest transitions in human history.

Sorry if this is too out there for you! But you did ask.. :)
