Monday, October 17th

I've made it my goal to explore the menu at Lotus Vegetarian. Today was the 'Organic Tempeh Sandwich' (Whole Wheat Bread) Organic Smoked Tempeh (5-grain), Lettuce, Grilled Red Bell Pepper, Pickle and Mozzarella Soy Cheese $8.50.'Hot and Sour Soup' $2.75 Organic Carrots, Tofu, Bamboo Shoots, Wood Ear, Enoki, and White Mushrooms. This was high quality. Five Star Foodies Harvest Roast for dinner with leftover Mac & Cheese.
This Roast must be meant as a Thanksgiving substitution. It is two rectangles of Seitan with some Stuffing in between (two servings, but one Gravy packet). Surprised WF's sold this stuff, especially considering the sodium content. I would recommend just buying a Gardein Cutlet instead.
Half a slice of the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut.
Coming up tomorrow: Satisfied with my unpopular blog. Probably going to WF's to buy Body Wash & Nooch.

Whoa, there is a whole lot of awesomeness going on in this post. That sandwich looks perfectly made and delicious and hot and sour soup is my fav! I'm a big fan of the gardein thanksgiving stuffed cutlet things so I will take your word for it and stick with that. The cheesecake look so delicious! I've been craving sweets a lot lately!

Your blog is totally not unpopular! Your blog is awesome and I think many will agree with me :)

The sandwich and soup both sound awesome! What did you think about the soy cheese? I could definitely go for some of the soup right now too. I love those shrooms and bamboo shoots (although I only found out yesterday that's what they are.)

Sometimes you just want a sandwich--yours looks classic.

May I echo Jenny's sentiments - "cheesecake!".

I, also, invested in molasses for the sole purpose of pumpkin pie smoothies. My thoughts for molasses: gingerbread everything. Yes, please.

Godspeed as you go to WF.

That sandwich looks so killer! as does the cheesecake. I haven't ever had vegan cheesecake. I guess I need to get on that.

Oh and just a heads up, I added you to my favourite reads list. That probably doesn't mean much to you, but that's okay.

I'll take that sandwich, the soup & cheesecake, please. What a great food day you had!

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, I don't recall seeing Hot & Sour Soup on your blog. This H&S soup wasn't very Spicy, but a bit Sour. Anyway, definitely take my word on the Gardein Thanksgiving Stuffed Cutlet. You're on one of those manic highs again aren't you?

FF, what are you talking about? Bamboo Shoots are something other than Bamboo innards? Uh oh....

Jenny, it was great Cheesecake. Mr. SV is strongly suspecting all the Vegan Treats desserts are non vegan. Having difficulty restraining him from a reconnaissance mission to Bethlehem, PA.

Stacy, every day it is my intention to avoid bread. Believe it.

Ingrid, ha! Good one. It was pretty rough at WFs today. I came so close to running over a woman with my car, but I chose pacifism.

Nicola, I eat the desserts so others can live through me vicariously. Keep your white jeans on, the vegan Brownies are my battle field..

Isotope, you've had Snickers, but no Cheesecake or Mexican? I'd call bullsh*t, but you've apparently added me to a favourites list (British spelling and all) so I'll overlook it for now.

Molly, it was totally a free-for-all-jam-it-all-in-day. Totaly didn't give a sh*t.

Blessed Mama, 'blog satisfaction' is so much better than 'blog needs work'. Ah, I feel so satisfied ...temporarily...

ooo, you should let him. If you guys busted Vegan Treats, you'd have the most famous blog ever.

Okay, but it's definitely not bull.
I don't really eat pre-made food/substitutes and I hardly ever eat out.

Cheesecake used to be one of my favs before I became a vegan. I have got to bite the bullet and make myself a vegan one! I must do that very soon!
