Lentil Dal Burger Sandwich $6.49 from WF's for lunch.
Plus some Crinkle Cut Fries from the hot bar. Can't say 'No' to Crinkle Cuts.
Veganomicon's Simple Seitan with Heinz-57 and boiled Celeriac tossed with a mixture of Soy Creamer and Whole Grain Mustard (Blech. I've done my Celeriac duty this year).
Crinkle Cuts were the highlight of the day.

Crinkle cuts are ALWAYS a highlight of a day! They are so darn good! The sandwich looks pretty tasty too as does the seitan. And the cake sounds like a great end to the day :)

Crinkle cut reminds me of school lunch, but on the good days. Bon appetite!

I cannot say "no" to crinkle cuts either. Or potato wedges. Or mashed potatoes. Basically, I love me a good potato!

The more I hear about Veganomicon, the less reasons I find for not buying it!

Well done, I say.

The Dal burger sounds good but I'd probably like it better on less bread. It looks like it kind of overwhelmed the burger itself.

Crinkle cuts on the hot bar? Where does it end? Will you please have your salad bar/hot bar manager call the Little Rock store? Thanks!

The Dal burger looks so nicely tucked away in the bread...I can see dipping that in some tahini sauce or a nice balsamic vinaigrette, so the bread can soak it all up.

I love celeriac in soup...never eaten it just boiled though...I'll take your word that it's not exactly the most delicious thing.

The fries look perfect!

That dal sandwich looks really good, too. We just had red lentil dal for dinner last night, but it did not turn out very good..... :(

I find celeriac is much better in soups or mashed potato mixes. I've never really tried it by itself like that.

Bummer about the food day, but you still have tomorrow and the next and the next and the...

What is celeriac? Is that part of the celery root?

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, we all need more Crinkle Cuts in our lives. I actually came to that conclusion many years ago, but forgot about it till yesterday.

Stacy, I always brought my lunch in school, practically 'lived' on Diet Soda, so no fond memories there for me.

Ingrid, by law all vegans are required to own Veganomicon. You've been notified.

FF, good thing I didn't order the sandwich on a sub roll or else you wouldn't see the little Dal Burger at all.

Jenny, this was a first time for me seeing Fries on the Hot Bar. I've learned not to get used to great stuff like this from WF's.

Rose, I would totally have gotten a tiny container of Balsamic Vinaigrette, but they did away with the lids to the tiny 'dressing cups'! Must've been a major corporate decision. The Celeriac was not good. OOFA!

Molly, the Fries were perfect just as I knew they would be. My intuition told me so.

Dianne, you're so lucky you never tried the Celeriac by itelf. Huge mistake. UGH. Don't remind me!

Blessed Mama, if there's one thing I hate -> it's wasting a meal. Or even half a meal. Anyway. yes, much as it sounds like Celiac (aka, Gluten intolerance), Celeriac is Celery Root. Nothing against Celery itself.

Yeah, celeriac. I'm still waiting for the perfect recipe for it; nothing I do seems to quite launch it into the world of genius--yet it's a pleasant enough vegetable...whose time has not yet, perhaps, come.
