WTF Wednesday

'Everything' fell off my Everything Bagel when I sliced it this morning. I literally lost everything.
Lentil Chili from Wegman's for lunch. It was surprisingly great.
My Blog's Signature Dish with Chard for dinner.
I saw this Chocolove Bar recommended somewhere. Gotta admit, it was a good rec.
Today was apparently 'National Critter Non-Cooperation Picture Taking Day'. No one told me. I'll try again tomorrow when I'm taking eight hours leave just so I won't have to go into the office. What exciting food will I eat on my day off?

WTF Tuesday

This is supposed to be a deep 'Wordless Wednesday' post, where the reader ponders the images.
I know it is Tuesday, but the eats are seen way too often on this blog.
This post may be 90% wordless, but the grub was 100% delicious.
Ingrid and all her Macaroon talk compelled me to buy this big Cookie...good stuff.
More of the same tomorrow.

Monday, March 18th

If you had told me that I would be sitting in my cube this morning at 7am, I never would've believed you...but there I was....enjoying this LPQ Carrot Muffin...
Great stuff off WF's Hot Bar today..Chana Masala...Eggplant (which I usually hate)....Cauliflower...
My signature dish, Hazelnut Cranberry Field Roast En Croute with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Baked Potatoes for dinner.
Dessert was a Vegan Treats donut picked up several weeks ago at Loving Hut. Still pretty good.
WFH grub tomorrow.

Sunday, March 17th

Got my green on at Faang. Beautiful Avocado Sushi...
and Tofu with Cashew Nuts...
Dinner again showed how serious I am about celebrating this holiday.
Dessert for next St. Patrick's Day will be these Shillelaghs. I didn't see the recipe in time to make them for today.

Saturday, March 16th

A Groupon brunch was enjoyed at Rosa Mexicano today....
For $56 you got loads of Guac & Alcohol along with two entrees and a shared dessert. It might have been more economical in the end to just order those things a la carte since we didn't really need the entrees and dessert.
They have little rolling carts that come around to each to table to make Guacamole.  Quite tasty.
A sample of their frozen Pomegranate Margarita was included in the deal.
This Pitcher of Sangria gave me a good buzz so that was worthwhile.
Made with Apricot Brandy, Triple Sec, Orange Juice, Apples, Pineapple and Cucumber.
My Tropical Fruit Bowl made with Mango, Strawberries, Granola & Dates. Very delicious. Mr. SV's brunch was vegetarian, but not vegan, so I'm not showing that.
Math is not my strong suit, so in addition to the $56.00 I paid for the Groupon, there was an extra $26.28 tax and tip for a total of $82.28. Pretty expensive brunch for us, but it forced us out of our comfort zone and I got to see what this well known restaurant was all about.
More Groupon action for dinner. Carryout from Himalayan Heritage. Even though I bought the Groupon in order to try Nepalese cuisine, I wimped out and ordered the usual Indian things I always get: Samosa (this one was super spicy)....
and Aloo Ghobi (Cauliflower and Potatoes), although they call it Aloo Kauli Tarkari and it was really different and delicious. More Tomatoey than the usual Aloo Ghobi.
Using up two Groupons in one day gives one a great sense of accomplishment.

East Side Ovens Pecan Fingers for dessert.
Damn I eat good.

WTF Thursday

I WFH today just so I could enjoy a Garlic Bagel for breakfast and practice my NYC Shmearing technique.
The last of the Beyond Meat Grilled Chicken Salad from Roots for lunch. So over it. For now.
Morningstar Vegan Grillers with Daiya and Macaroni & Cheese from Dawson's Market for dinner.
A Carrot Cake Cupcake with lots of Creme Cheese Frosting from Roots for dessert.
A Groupon lunch out with Mom tomorrow after an LPQ Muffin for breakfast.

WTF Wednesday

Kashi Autumn Wheat with Rice Milk for breakfast....
Field Roast Franks and Potato Salad from Dawson's Market for lunch...
Midwest Weekend Cincinnati Chili Mix for dinner using Gimme Lean.
It was okay, but I wont be making it again.
Instead of dessert, here are some sweet baby pics taken today...
The remote is in focus...
Mango loves this box. I have no clue where it came from.
Will I go into work tomorrow or stay home? More importantly, will I know what day of the week it is?

Tuesday, March 12th

Yadda Yadda Yadda Breakfast....
Beans and Broccoli for lunch...
Morningstar Vegan Grillers with Daiya and Macaroni & Cheese from Dawson's Market for dinner.

  Back to WFH Grub tomorrow.

WTF Monday

Today started off really well: Pesto Cream Cheese on a Toasted Garlic Bagel for breakfast (can't eat that in the office)...
Field Roast Franks and TJ's Tots for lunch...this was a decent choice...
Then I totally blanked on what to have for dinner. Went with the Hazelnut Cranberry Field Roast En Croute with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Baked Potatoes cuz it's so simple to just toss it all in the oven and forget about it till it's done. Way too much food.
Then I had to eat dessert for the blog, so I went with a Chocolate Donut from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut.
Now I feel sort of gross. Why'd I eat so much? It is all the blogs fault.

Sunday, March 10th

An intense craving for Veggie Chili lead us to Black Bear Bistro for lunch. Wouldn't you know, they no longer offer the winter menu. No Veggie Chili. No Vegan Burger. Had to punt. Went with the Hand Cut Sweet Potato Chips $6.95 with Maple Syrup Sauce to start.
The Black Bean Burger $7.95 as the entree. All very delicious, but disappointing at the same time. Looks like they're no longer emphasizing the vegan thing on their menu.
I bought a container of General Tso's Seitan a few weeks ago at WF's and totally forgot about it. Hard to believe but true. Finally ate it tonight. Pretty good.
A Strawberry Cupcake from Dawson's Market for dessert. I especially like the sparkles on top.
The Croci are hanging strong even after being buried under a foot of snow.
How to spend the rest of my evening now? Reading or surfing the net...decisions...decisions...
WFH Grub tomorrow as there is no way I can get my *ss up an hour earlier.
