We hit up LPQ for breakfast first, but before seating were (kindly) informed by a couple servers that under no uncertain circumstances would Tofu Scramble ever be served there again. There was some big announcement to the staff on Friday regarding this issue. No manager on site to verify. Bummed, but not surprised, we took our dining dollar the block and a half to True Food Kitchen for Andy's TLT...

Well then, perhaps I should strike LPQ from my meal destination? Or go for the Lentil Avocado Salad at lunch? A colleague said I have to make it to Sticky Fingers, but I'm not sure how far into D.C. we'll go considering the brevity of my trip.
At least TKF didn't let you down. Sadly, my friend could not brunch with me there this morning, so it was postponed. I will get there!
That's really lame that LPQ can't get their act together. Its tofu scramble, not rocket science!
Gorgeous TLT, they do get an impressive amount of stuff between those slices of bread.
WF seems to be the only source of vegan ravioli, those look nice and fat with filling too.
More sunshine today but not yet warm enough! I'm heading to long island tomorrow for a friend's party, gotta figure out an omni friendly vegan nibble to bring...

The TLT looks better anyway. I agree with others though - jeers to LPQ.
Boo to LPQ! Yay for delicious looking TLT's! I have got to get my hands on those cocomels. They look delicious! Despite LPQ's mistake, looks like a great food day!
What a tease LPQ is!!! That's ridiculous that they would wipe it off the menu completely. At least you have TFK to fall back on, the sandwich always looks great. And speaking of teases, those cocomels get me every time!
Oh and I leave for Florida on Thursday!
Hey Now!!!!!
Ingrid, LPQ is still great for Gazpacho and maybe by June they will have something else of vegan interest. If you are planning to be in the District, Sticky Fingers is very tasty (but very small and I dont know how tolerant your Grandmother will be in terms of tracking it down and parking). I still say focus on Loving Hut for Pho and Clare and Dons for fried food and cocktails.
Unknown, maybe they have the Ravioli up there when your WFs opens. Did you make the Avocado, Black Bean and Lime Juice thing for the party? That sounded like a universally successful dish. Personally, i would probably bring Pasta Salad.
Other Unknown, the TLT is really great. I hope you get one someday wherever you are, but I do miss shoveling in all the bread at LPQ. Now i feel weird about even going into that LPQ location (even though it was them who told me to come for the Tofu Scamble, I had given up hope).
VP, it was a great food day after all. We were fortunate to have TFK right around the corner when LPQ failed. There are hardly any vegan breakfast options in the DC area. If only it was like NYC where one can readily get a Bagel with Tofutti Cream Cheese.
Sarah,
Crossed commenting 'streams' again. Looking forward to reading about Florida. Looks like you got a new option: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/31/gluten-free-disney-world-vegan-food_n_6970458.html
