WTF Thursday

Uncle Sam Cereal with Soy Milk for breakfast...
TJ's Chipotle Hummus with CSA Cherry Tomatoes on a Wegman's Pumpernickel Bagel for lunch...
Some Mrs. Mays Veggie Chips for an afternoon snack...
Due to extreme heat, I was not allowed to turn on the oven tonight, so dinner was a stove top meal of Gardein Riblets with Home Fries...
Cookie Dough Ice Cream for dessert.
An Italian lunch with Mom tomorrow.

You had me at pumpernickel bagel. And the veggie chips! I really like those veggie chips but only eat them on occasion. And you know I'm all about that ice cream.

I don't blame you guys for the stove ban. I think we got up to 100 at some point today. Putting on the oven would be a crime in this oppressive heat. Looks like you made a great meal without it :)

I had a pumpernickel bagel for the first time recently. Caraway made it taste like heaven - and it wasn't even dessert.

Nice stove top meal - how did you prepare the home fries? They look scalloped. . .mmm.

Cookie Dough for the win!

Chipotle hummus?! I've never seen such a thing, but I want some!

I considered turning the oven on today to make pup treats but gave the girls more veggies instead. It's definitely too hot for such a thing.

Uncle sam's really has the best combo of flake size to crunch to sweetness ratio. Loving the pumpernickle bagel, so fancy with sliced tiny tomatoes! Those veggie chips are soooo good, i always pick out the green beans first.
I'm impressed you even turned on the stove- the potatoes look so good. (I maaaayyyy have had half a bottle of reisling and some sorbet as "dinner")
Basil would be great on your bagel-wich, chopped with the dinner potatoes, mixed into storebought hummus, in salads, in cocktails (like a mojito but with basil), great with strawberries, or amazing just fried in a pan with very hot olive oil for like 15seconds, then drain on paper towel and add salt.

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, I have you to thank for getting my focus back on the Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Important priority.

Hannah, 'Caraway'?! My, what a finely tuned palate you have to detect Caraway in a Pumpernickel Bagel.

Ingrid, the Home Fries were pre-boiled and then sautéed with EVOO and a Shallot. Really came out well. Mom knows nothing of this blog, but I'm sure she would be extremely excited to know of your existence and say 'Hi' back.

FF, Mrs. May's first came to my attention in our company vending machine. These particular Veggie Chips just happened to be on a major sale at the local grocery outlet.

RVs, our Pups are loving the CSA Cucumbers. I also have Organic Celery for them, but haven't opened it yet.

Unknown, thank you for the Basil suggestions. So you're saying I can treat the Basil like Mint and/or Spinach. I feel intimidated by it for some reason. Wine and Sorbet for dinner would make a great blog post, if that someone had a blog...
