This morning was our first time at Tavern 64, a relatively new restaurant that features a vegan entree for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My 'Vegan Hash' $12 Tofu, Potato Hash, Black Beans, Peppers, Onions and Chipotle Drizzle was a generous portion with lots of complimentary flavors. The Chipotle Drizzle tied it all together. The Micro Greens made it classy.
Like LPQ, there is free jam. Unlike LPQ, this restaurant is bustling and noisy. It does have the added attraction of interesting people from around the globe to look at (the restaurant is in a hotel).
Toast came with my entree, so no fear of leaving without a full belly like other fancy places. We're looking forward to returning.
An Alvarado Street Bagel with CSA Basil, TJ's Red Pepper Hummus and Hot House Tomato for lunch. This was a pretty awful Bagel. Dry and crumbly. Only five more to eat.
Chili on Boca Burgers with Home Fries for dinner...
The last piece of PPK Banana Bread 'slathered' with PB for dessert.
WFH grub tomorrow.

Ooooh that is a great looking brunch! And hooray for the free jam :) That breakfast looks seriously delicious. Bummer about the dry crumbly bagels but the lunch looks so delicious. A really bright, vibrant meal. How was the peanut butter on the banana bread? Looks tasty :)
That chipotle drizzle sounds like it definitely ties everything together. Yum!
5 more bagels like that? This is becoming a pattern for you lately. You just finished the soup!
I had peanut butter on banana bread yesterday. Still working on the pudgie pies. I really want to try that!
I see what you did there! I saw your "slathered" call-out! I'm so proud of you.
Toast the heck outta those bagels, and maybe they'll be better? Or turn them into croutons. Ha!
The Vegan Hash looks pretty incredible.
I look forward to Banana Bread Round 2 when you are allowed to turn on the oven.
Sounds like a good find for a restaurant! Creative hash tofu combo. The lunch looks so good, but crummy bagels are such a deal breaker... Did you toast it? Maybe that would help? Pb on the banana bread sounds amazing.
And hahahaha, no i couldn't tell from the pic, but a good cream cheesey frosting seems to be the mark of a good carrot cake for me

Hey Now!!!!
VaVa, not sure why tiny jars of jam excite me. It's rather pathetic. Hard to go wrong with PB on anything.
RVs, first no pics of the Pups swimming, now no pics of the PB on Banana Bread?! Falling down on the job up there. The lousy Bagels came six in a bag. I'll try one more and if it is a bad, I'll waste them.
Hannah, per your suggestions, I totally slathered the crap out of that Banana Bread.
Ingrid, whenever I've tried making Croutons, they become like little rocks. These Bagels would probably just turn to dust.
Unknown, yes, I did toast the Bagels. Don't know how this Alvarado Street company stays in business. Hard to find good Cream Cheesey Frosting in these parts.
