Saturday, July 20th

Organic Strawberries were on sale at WF's for $1.99/pound, so I consumed a pound of Strawberries for breakfast. Each one was perfectly ripe and juicy.
It was touch and go, but fortunately I was able to get out to lunch at Chopstick Cafe. Started with the Avocado Sushi...

followed by the 'Thai Spicy Fried Rice' $9 Tofu Stir-Fried with Chili, Garlic, Thai Basil, Onion, Tomato, Chinese Broccoli and Bell Pepper. There was also two Iced Cold Singha Beers.
Field Roast Franks and Potato Salad from Dawson's Market for dinner...
Half a piece of Carrot Cake from Dawson's Market for dessert.
Mr. SVegetarian indicates that he'll be more apt to go out to eat tomorrow. I hope that is true.

Yum, I haven't eaten dinner yet and now I am super hungry! The Thai rice dish looks amazing, as does the Field Roast - it's time for me to get my hands on some of those.

I look forward to some delicious eats tomorrow! I wonder what he'll be in the mood for - or maybe he'll let you pick. ;)

I leave the US tomorrow. Sadness in my heart.

That is such a perfect breakfast! And that fried rice has so much good stuff in it with all the veggies and tofu- cold beers are the perfect drink with asian food somehow..... It looks like dawsons does a great carrot cake with all those walnuts in there- was it a good cream cheesey frosting? Great finish to such a good food day.
I suspect the Mr will be up for some sunday brunching- doesn't everyone love brunch out??

That's super cheap for organic strawberries! I would be eating many of them, too.

Great looking lunch, especially the sushi.

$1.99 for strawberries?!?!?! Amazing! Beautiful, simple breakfast. Glad you were able to get out for lunch and the spicy dish sounds delicious. The carrot cake looks amazing! I can see lots of chunks of yummy stuff in there! Walnuts and raisins I presume?

Hope you enjoyed a lovely meal out today!

Yeah I got those strawberries! I'm gonna focus on that positive and not the fact that I don't have that carrot cake instead.
Or ice cold Singha beers.

Hey Now!!!!

Ingrid, after mutually agreeing on Chopstick yesterday, Mr. SV let me pick today and it worked out very well.

Hannah, can't wait to find out where you land next.

Nikki, nothing worse than missing a fantastic sale. Well, a few things are worse, but not many.

Unknown, funny you ask about the frosting, because it is not as cream cheesy as I'd like. You can tell that from the pic? So glad you have A/C. I used to have a car without A/C, so I've suffered as well.

RVs, Veggie Sushi is an ideal meal for scorching hot days.

VaVa, still amazed how great Carrot Cake is. All those years of my life wasted thinking I hated it.

FF, if it makes you feel any better, there's no Spaten down here.

Blessed Mama, that pound of Stawberries could have fed five hungry vegans. Or one really gluttonous vegan like me.
