Sunday, April 14th

Bi Bim Bop with Tempura Tofu for brunch at Mr. Noodle & Rice (which no longer has a website)...
Boca Chikn Patties and Mac & Cheese from Roots for dinner....
My last Almond Coconut Oatmeal Cookies with Raisins for dessert. Still as moist and chewy as when I first got them.
I was able to capture an in-focus picture of Jasper today. He let me hold and love on him as well.
These little white flowers pop up all over the yard every spring...
They signal to us the emergence of Morels, but so far, not a single mushroom has been spotted.
WFH Grub tomorrow.

Spring. What a dream. I bet I'll be skipping straight from winter to summer when I leave Canada for the US in May.

Jasper!!! What a sweet face, love that pic! Pretty flowers too! A beautiful way to welcome spring :)

Brunch looks SOOOOOO delicious! Definitely my kind of meal :) mac and cheese sounds so good right now and yay for the cookies! Can't believed they stayed fresh for this long!

I think I'm prone to inflammation. My inflammation marker blood test results are consistently really high. Oh well. I am definitely starting to feel better, can't wait to detox all of this ibuprofen though. So gross.

The cookies look delish! Jasper is a handsome man and love the flowers!

A kitty, flowers and delicious food- some of my favorite things! Jasper is so adorable and I'm still envious of the flowers. So, so pretty.

Strange that the restaurant doesn't have a website anymore. That seems to be going backwards, IMO.

Your guesses at the locations were admirable, but off. We'll be in the Southwest being enchanted (hopefully that's a good hint?). :)

Bi bim bap is SO great but I've never seen tempura tofu before! Was it firm or soft tofu? It sounds great.
Also, how did you store the cookies? Not that any baked good I have ever lasts more than a couple days, but I'm inquiring for science's sake.
Fingers crossed that you get some free morels. Have you ever gone foraging for other types?
Too much to say, it's been all pent up these last internetless days!

Hey Now!!!

Hannah, most folks summer in Canada and winter in the southern US States (aka Snow Birds). But your way is good too.

VaVa, I was surprised the Cookies stayed so fresh as well. Great flavors in such small Cookies. The inflammation issue is helpful information.

Mary, thanks! Glad you are back on the blogging scene.

Molly, New Mexico! 'Land of Enchantment'! How much more gorgeous can your (and FF's) Mexican food be??? Guess we'll soon find out.

FF, this is only my 2nd time having the (firm) Tempura Tofu at Mr. Noodle and Rice. The Cookies remained individually wrapped and stored in our magic fridge. Morels are the only wild mushrooms I've picked but I am getting dangerously close to sampling some Chicken of the Woods. The internet is a wondrous thing, much like Tempura Tofu.
