Wednesday, June 17th

TJ's Cornflakes with Almond Milk. Dont knock em till you've tried em...
also from Trader Joe's: Vegan Tiki Masala for lunch. It is gourmet!
Wegman's Beefless Burgers on TJ's WW Buns for dinner. The Fries were made from TJ's Organic Yellow Gold Potatoes. Trader Joe's really is wonderful...
Not from Trader Joe's: Dried up old Jujyfruits for dessert...
Nothing  on the agenda for tomorrow, which is worrisome as dessert made me feel ill. Bye for now.

I once read something like 40% or so of cold cereal is eaten at sometime aside from breakfast. Kind of charming that you're a traditionalist :)
The tikka really does need that rice for the saucey stuff. Those are some yellow fries! It is great that TJs has so many excellent products.
I can't see juju fruit and not think of seinfeld.... Hope that was the end of them and your tummy recouperates quickly.

Taking the subway isn't really optional for me. Is is super gross in the summer but the subway itself is air conditioned. Thankfully i'm not a fainter but i'm sure it happens. There were a few young guys breakdancing on the subway (while moving!) tonight, one kid had an impressive moon walk while the other lifted himself parallel to the floor on the pole.

Trader Joe's for the win! I forgot to mention this in my post, but I did pick up a Super Spinach Salad from TJ's in Falls Church, and it wasn't nearly as good. It tasted old. Perhaps that was the issue when you tried it?

I'm craving cornflakes now! I am so close to Trader Joe's I can smell it! I;m going to check the Co-op today for some cashew milk ice cream. Fingers crossed!!

I'm so with you, Trader Joe's is definitely the best!! The cornflakes look good, I'm all about a good bowl of cold cereal. I would add bananas though ;) Your dinner looks like summer on a plate. I didn't consider whether or not white potatoes are part of my cleanse… Hmmmm…

The chocolate happened but the wine did not. There is a particular wine that I like (I don't like wine at all really except for a few select moscatos) and it is so hard to find here. The place that was supposed to sell it was out so no wine for me, wah!

You were doing so well until the jujyfruits and then you lost me- stale or not. At least they don't taste like lipstick like dots.

Hey Now!!!!!

Unknown, Cinemas=Jujyfruits. Cant blame Elaine for grabbing a box before hightailing it to the hospital;-) I didnt realiize the NYC Subway was air conditioned. I have ridden(?) just a few times and it seemed so complicated with so many lines, I dont know if I could figure it out on my own. The DC Metro is extremely simplistic, but lacks the live entertainment.

Ingrid, the food at Trader Joe's does tend to run perilously close to the expiration date. i have had a lot of things go bad quickly from them. Maybe cuz the merchandize is coming to Virginia from the west coast?

VP, how much longer till you're back in Seattle?

Sarah, I doubt white potatoes would be on a cleanse. Possibly blue ones. You gotta stock up on that wine you like. What if you need it in an emergency?

Abby, as much as I try to avoid Corn Syrup, this big old box of Jujyfruits just never ends. Cant bring myself to throw it out, but it may come to that.

I have about 11 days in Pa. left, then a two or three day road trip. I am so excited and nervous and all kinds of stuff.

I had no idea Jujyfruits were vegan. It turns out many candies I thought contained gelatin are actually vegan. Thank you for this knowledge! Sourpatch Kids, I'm coming for you! :)
