Sorry haters, the mouth wants what the mouth wants....
should have warned you to put your sunglasses on. This is the one pound hot house raised vine-ripened Heirloom Tomato I bought at the Farmers Market on Sunday...
A $5.99/pound impulse buy, but it tasted like the real deal. I did not get ripped off....
Loving Hut Wonton Soup for dinner...
Raw Chocolate for dessert....
More of that Tomato tomorrow. Bye for now.

Oh my gosh! That tomato looks insanely delicious!! I want summer produce every day of my life. It was so chilly and rainy here today, that wonton soup would have hit the spot for sure! It definitely doesn't look like traditional wonton soup but it looks delicious nonetheless. Yum!

I will try to post tonight :)

Right now i probably would pay $16.99/lb for an amazing tomato like that!!! I am so deprived and desperate...! No way would there have been leftovers around here.... And tomatoes with olives are so perfect together.
Now its so cold the soup sounds like a good idea. I love how bok choy in soup soaks up all the flavorful broth.
Why is raw chocolate so good??

Good point on the eggless salad. They do have a tofu breakfast wrap and various preps on their salad bar so its not like they shun the stuff. I figure pickle brine kills any bugs from those big barrels of pickles. You can ask for a whole pickle sliced in half at any nyc bodega and leave with a huge crunchy amazing one for a buck. Ask me why i know this ;)

It went from 55 to 85 degrees in one week, so I can get behind your summery lunch. The soup looks great, but I just turned on the a/c for the first time this year, I'm so hot!!!

That tomato looks amazing! I was surprised when I bought an heirloom tomato a few weeks ago. I expected it to be not so great since it's not tomato season yet, but it was insanely delicious. I must try that unusual looking wonton soup sometime!

Hey Now!!!!!

Sarah, thanks for updating your blog. Excellent post! Quality over quantity, that is obviously not my motto.

Unknown, there were Tomatoes all over the Farmers Market this weekend. i say risk buying one. Start small, not huge like I did. I wasnt worried about the Pickles in a Barrel. i am talking about the Delis where there are bowls on each table with Pickles. They sit out all day while different customers come and go. i saw it at Carnegie Deli. Dont recall if I saw it at Katz's. A good crunchy Pickle is an excellent lo-cal snack. Still havent seen Pickle Juice Bloody Marys down here.

Ingrid, and it is damp and cool here now. So much nicer than sweltering, but it wont last.

VP, I see there is a Loving Hut in Seattle. God only knows what exciting things they have on their menu!
