Thursday, June 18th

I didn't stock up well on food for the week, so I am now just living off staples. Starting with some Bob's Red Mill and Raisins....
the other three Gardein Lime & Jalapeno Tenders (which arent so bad when you know what to expect and can brace yourself)...
Pasta with Wegman's Mushroom Pasta Sauce and TJ's Meatless Meatballs for dinner...
So Delicious Almond Milk Mocha Almond Fudge for dessert. I have been completely spoiled by the Cashew Milk Ice Cream...
More processed staples coming up tomorrow (unless I can convince Mr. SVegetarian to pick up some Thai food). Bye for now.

Well you have some lovely stapes on hand. At least those gardein tenders are done and gone now! the meatless balls and pasta is a classic. Maybe you two should go for friday date night thai! I'm a sucker for that papaya salad every time i can find a veg version.
And i'm sure cashew ice cream kicks almond dream butt.

I had that TJs vegan tikka tonight myself, i need like a dozen for the freezer...

Staples ain't so bAd, unless they're in yr soup. Oats are actually great.
The tenders look pretty good. I kinda imagine the flavor is like the spicy lime cashews they have at TJs, which are very weird but grew on me the more I ate them.
Speaking of ice cream, I actually bought some on sale today! But then the trains were delayed going home so I actually ran back to work to put the pint back in the work freezer to take home on a less warm or messed up train day. The luxury you have just nonchalantly picking up vegan ice cream and driving it to yr front door!

Your meals look familiar! I've been eating out of my pantry for the move. It's kind of fun to see what you can come up with! Yay, the lime tenders are gone!!

I love going through pantry staples, it just means you get to fill it up again with new staples! And your staples look pretty darn good if you ask me ;) You know I love my oats so I'm with you on that breakfast. That cashew ice cream must be pretty amazing for the almond one to not even come close!

I hope you get your Thai food for dinner!

So happy to hear this because I just went to 3 stores to find the cashew milk! I'm all about cashew & coconut right now. PS are you a nutritionist? Your serving sizes are actual serving sizes!!

Hey Now!!!!!

Unknown, i was feeling desperate enuf for fresh food yesterday that I was researching on the internet restaurants within 20 miles that had something I could eat. I would have actually gone out. Fortunately, Thai food was procured today and i got my first Papaya Salad! Very refreshing and light. The Vegan Tiki Masala is so excellent. It is a little scary how the box of the lamb one looks so similar to the vegan.

FF, this particular pint of Mocha Almond Fudge did get caught in a hot half hour backup en route home. I was suprised when I opened it, that it wasnt ruined. You must really trust your co-workers to leave something so precious in the freezer. I might drive up and steal that Ice Cream.

VP, it helps to have chickens to use up things like Barley, Oats, Pasta and what not. Maybe in Seattle, you will get a little plot to farm.

Sarah, I am definitely surprised how superior the Cashew Milk Ice Cream is to the Almond Milk Mocha Almond Fudge. And, yes, I did get my Thai food, thankfully.

Abby, I do okay on portion size. Just got a problem with all the bread, potatoes and faux meat that make up the majority of the meals.
