Friday, June 12th

Preparing Home Fries for breakfast is getting easier and easier. Thinly slice a Spud, drizzle with EVOO and Lawry's Seasoning Salt, toss in the 450 degree oven for an hour and ignore. Pairs perfectly with Field Roast Sausage (which go in the oven in the last 15 minutes)...
Tried the Chipotle and Lime flavor Gardein Chickenless Tenders with Heinz-57 for lunch. The Lime and Chipotle flavor is strong. I will eat the other three Tenders in the bag, but wont buy again...
Loving Hut's Jalapeno Tofu for dinner...
Got another pint of Cashew Milk Salted Caramel Cluster. Truly spectacular...
TFK tomorrow, so there will be some color. Bye for now.

Really eyeing your Loving Hut Jalapeño Tofu. Mmmm... So far, it has only been three meals, but we've eaten at home. I have 100% agreement for a trip to Clare & Don's, still working on other places! Middleburg was cute, I pursued the shops but she didn't want to eat lunch there. When I flew in, I saw all the rural estates and imagined one of them to be yours! Also, it's effing hot. Ha!

Aha! The secret to your potatoes!! Too bad I'm refusing to turn on my oven for the next three months.... Lime flavored anything is never the same as actual lime juice flavor, sounds like that will be a short lived flavor for gardein.
That ice cream! Yum. Securing a proper supply of frozen desserts is critical during the summer.

Green symphony almond greens smoothie kept me sane today("with blueberries instead of banana and a few ice cubes"). I was feeling high maintenance and hot.
I'm super lucky that my neighbors are fairly quiet so i try not to piss them off

I don't like the Chipotle lime flavor either. I don't like the fake lime flavor. That jalapeno tofu just looks sooooo amazing. I'm going to the Co-op today, and I am getting a pint of the cashew ice cream, it looks too good to resist!

Ahhhhh so that's how you do it! An hour is the key to crispy potato goodness :) I'm with Unknown though… that oven is staying off (at least by my hand) for the next few months. It has already been 90 here, it's crazy! The Loving Hut meals always look so incredible. I'm craving some Loving Hut deliciousness now. And ice cream ;)

As long as I can get my hands on some wine (and apparently the kind of wine I like isn't seen much in these parts) it will be happening!! It's been a long two weeks, ha. The chocolate is happening for sure though as I already have it!

Hey Now!!!!!

Ingrid, Grandma must get her pleasure from feeding you. Too bad you missed out on Hunters Head and/or Harriman's. She would have liked those places. Cant wait to hear how she (and you) liked Clare and Don's. Thanks for looking for our 'estate'. No doubt, our's is the biggest one you saw;-) Gotta love the DC humidity. Perfect for inciting murderous rages.

Unknown, you will have to procure some Cashew Milk Ice Cream so you can let me know how it stacks up against the place you go to in Brooklyn. or at least against Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss. The Smoothie sounds so cooling. Do you watch them make it to see that is actually is made of all the goodness they claim? Too hot for Citibiking this weekend?

VP, I am surprised Gardein even makes such a lousy product. Wonder who buys those Lime Tenders? You had better get the Cashew Milk Ice Cream. #YOLO and whatnot. Seriously.

Sarah, wine and choclate are supposed to be full of antioxidants. What kind of wine do you like? Unknown turned me on to Lambrusco. I could see that pairing well with some PB Cups.
