Saturday, May 30th

I didn't feel like braving the traffic and crowds getting to True Food Kitchen this morning. Instead, I just picked up a  cold-pressed Beet, Carrot, Celery, Parsley, Lemon and Ginger drink at the Leesburg Farmers Market....
Common Market Eggless Egg Salad for lunch...
Common Market French Lentil Soup (with a slice of Olive Bread) for dinner...
they didnt mention the Corn in the ingredients, but I still trust it was vegan. Really excellent...
Finally $prung for a pint of Cashew Milk Ice Cream. It was well worth every penny...
Hopefully will push myself to TFK tomorrow. Bye for now.

"Salted Caramel Cluster: is always worth the price! Yum! The Lentil Soup looks pretty delicious, too.

I looked up Middleburg, and it looks super cute! When I spoke with Grandma this morning, I mentioned wanting to see a few small towns - I will follow up with this one! I see the Harriman's has the vegan scramble on the menu. Is that a lie?!

I know exactly what you mean about travel time and crowds factoring into meal choices! That juice sounds like a good combo, and cute packaging always helps. Hopefully your farmers market had other goodies for you too. Looks like a great veggie lentil soup- although how you eat hot soup in summer I don't understand. Maybe your AC is cranking.
I did not need to know that ice cream is good...! TJs is too far now for me to get their soy ice cream home before it melts but there's a small expensive market with a few $$ vegan pints. I'll indulge soon.

Yesterday was totally a two shower day here. No lambrusco but there was a happy hour blended margarita so it all worked out.

I saw the cashew ice cream at the Co-op the last time I was there, and I balked at the extra $$$ and didn't get it. I think I will splurge, because it has been haunting me, and now I really want to try it!!

Ooh I've been wanting to try So Delicious ice cream for a while, over here it costs a small fortune too so haven't been able to part with that much cash. That flavour looks and sounds amazing though!

Hey Now!!!!

Ingrid, last time I was at Harriman's they had the Tofu Scramble but it was not worth the $16. No where near worth it. I do hope to go back and try their Buckwheat Pancakes soon. You will probably get to Middleburg around lunch anyway, so you could eat at The Gold Cup which has several vegan options. Or go a few miles further west on Route 50 to Hunters Head Tavern in Upperville. The ordering system is weird (first you order everything at the bar and they give you a # and then you sit at your table and they deliver it), but if it is nice weather, the patio is lovely to sit at. The inside is quaint as well. Grandma will like it.

Unknown, even I cant get TJs Ice Cream home before melts. Fortunately for me, I saw this Cashew Milk Ice Cream at a store just ten miles from home, so that helped me decide to splurge. I guess I dont let the seasonal temps after my hot and cold food choices. Overeating those heavy Noodles last week..now that was unpleasant in the heat. Two showers plus a frozen Margarita should sufficienty cooled you off by evening. it is still May!

Other Unknown, the Cashew Milk ice Cream is, as they say on The Bachelorette: amazing. Hope it comes to a freezer near you soon so you can partake.

VP, I pondered shelling out the bucks as well, but I dont regret it. I really wanted to see what it was about and it did not disappoint.

LVB, maybe f the Cashew Milk Ice Cream becomes super popular, the price will go down? i aint no economist.
