Wednesday, May 7th

Nine gigantic Organic Strawberries for breakfast. These were bought on an even better sale this week: Two Pounds for $6.99. They were sweet and massive...
Common Market Eggless Egg Salad for lunch...
After many years of unsuccessfully trying to dine together in a conventional manner, Mr. SVegetarian & I gave up (well, I gave up, Mr. SVegetarian never really tried). We buy and eat our own food separately about 95% of the time. His primary sustenance is Loving Hut's 'Pho' -- stocking up on several quarts every weekend (along with their 'Spicy Noodle Soup' and Sunflower's 'Hot Hot Shabu Shabu'). These Soups get him through the week. Anyway, long story short, recently Mr. SVegetarian decided to try making 'Pho' himself. While not authentic, it was pretty, light, healthy and I'm always grateful when he cooks. So homemade Pho was my lovely dinner...
Two more Sweet n Natural Raspberry Thumbprints for dessert...
Bye for now.

Those strawberries look amazing!! I've been obsessed with strawberries lately, I feel like I can never get enough. Great deal too! Nice looking lunch too.

My family rarely eats together either in day to day life. How nice of Mr. SVeg to make that gorgeous pho! Definitely not a bad choice to live off of and very cool that he attempted it on his own. It looks like it came out great!

Those berries look incredible! I have zero self control with good berries- odds are i would have bought 3lbs and gotten home with one.....
That's kind of funny that the Mr is so into pho. TJs makes a great miso ginger broth if he wants to make some with a shortcut. Its too bad you don't manage to eat together often but life happens. Looks like a delicious bowl!

Yes, mason has a wonderful mommy who takes the best care of him. I hope your furry family is happy and healthy lately :)

Applause for the pho! I have tried to make it at home, following a recipe, and it wasn't great. Now, I want pho. Is he not a fan of oven fries or Gardein? Those are good things!!

Do you and mr. SV just have different free time? Or ought I not pry why you don't dine together often. I like eating with other people most of the time, as long as I don't get food all over my face or have to do much of the talking.
In any case, the pho looks good. I've been enjoying mung bean threads with stir fry when not eating cabbage chips...

Hey Now!!!!!

Sarah, I would never make the effort to mix Strawberries with Bananas. You're lucky you don't have to eat with your family. Makes the vegan lifestyle easier.

Alessandra, not much of a Pho recipe apparently. He used a thing called "Chef's Choice", a spice mix that is sold by Loving Hut. Otherwise, it was just a Vegetable Soup with Soy Protein Chunks and Rice Noodles.

Unknown, now I don't feel so bad for eating a pound of Berries for breakfast. Mr. SV apparently knew about the Loving Hut broth -- I didn't. We eat together, but differently. Kudos to Mason's mommy for knowing he has special needs in accordance with his breed. My fur family is doing great so far. Summer is tough on everyone though.

Ingrid, I know you previously made Pho and were disappointed with the results. Mr. SV loves his own Pho. He only eats Boca Burgers and Field Roast Franks at home, although he seems to like the Soy Protein Chunks he put in the Pho.

FF, we eat dinner at the same time, but we just make our own food. It wasn't easy for me to get to this point. I always thought a husband and wife should eat the same thing. He's planning to use Mung Bean Sprouts for the next batch.

Abby, indeed it was very pretty Pho. All spring-like with the Sprouts.

Hannah. well...not as many brownie points as if I was starving and exhausted and couldn't cope with dinner. He happened to want to make Pho during a week when I happen to have plenty of food to eat in the house.
