WTF Wednesday

PPK Pumpkin Waffle with TJ's Maple Syrup for breakfast...
Spicy Tempeh Salad off the WF's Salad Bar for lunch...
An average of less than once a year, Mr. SVegetarian makes his signature Pasta Salad with jar of Capers, jar of Artichokes in EVOO and diced Sun-Dried Tomatoes. Tonight was one of those occasions. Muy Delicioso..
Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate with Marzipan for dessert. I keep reading the ingredients, and I don't see anything non-vegan....
More WFH grub tomorrow.

Yes! Love love love that marzipan bar. I'm super paranoid about accidentally vegan things, only because I always feel like it's too good to be true.
How was the spicy tempeh??
Way to go mr. SV. If he only makes it once a year, does he at least make a ton to last for weeks?

That tempeh salad sounds great! Whole foods used to make a temeph salad with veganaise that would be right up your alley. I may have the link around here somewhere if you're interested.
I am convinced that Mr SV is not so secretly a really awesome cook..... The pasta salad is full of awesome ingredients! The marinated artichokes are a nice touch.

And yup, that Ritter marzipan is vegan- and better than any other marzipan anything i've ever tried. Ritter is much cheaper in europe, my last trip i smuggled back a bunch of those marzipan bars- long gone now.....

It's nice to know the Pumpkin Waffles keep well.

Spaghetti, Pasta Salad. . .I get the feeling that Mr.SVeg was raised by an Italian mother.

I've checked out Ritter products, I think we're in the clear. ;)

P.S. Juan Pablo is so no bueno.

I love this entire day. I grew up eating marinated artichokes, not to mention capers straight by the spoonful, and that's one of my favourite basic chocolates. Woot!

You just reminded me that I have two packages of tempeh in my fridge with a "sell by" date of this week. Hmm. Might make some spicy tempeh of my own.

Thanks for the heads up on my post, I deleted the old one and re-posted it.

Great looking food day. Beautiful waffle and how great that Mr. SVeg made that beautiful meal. It sounds really delicious and looks great too. I remember how excited I was to find out that the Ritter Sport Marzipan was vegan. I love Marzipan and that is a great treat. I remember being skeptical too but it is indeed vegan and so good.

Hey Now!!!!

FF, the Spicy Tempeh was completely non-Spicy, but was light and fresh. You would approve. I think you're thinking of when people make Pasta Salad for Picnics and Potlucks. Mr. SV used just a pound bag of Pasta for this batch so no fear of seeing it more than one more time in the near future.

Unknown, our local WF's does a Tempeh Salad with Vegenaisse and Raisins. Is that the one you have up there? When Mr. SV prepares food, it is always delicious, unfortunately, it's only a handful of times a year. I believe this might have been only the second time I've ever had Marzipan in my life. Seemed sort of coconutty to me.

Ingrid, not a single teensy drop of Italian blood in Mr. SV. Not sure where his pasta proclivity comes from. I've really enjoyed reading the articles online (and the comments) about the last two episodes of the Bachelor. WTA next week should be incredible. Will JP learn any humility? I doubt it.

Hannah, your juju must be working overtime. Don't turn it off!

Abby, does Tempeh ever really go bad?

Sarah, what's good about Mr. SV's Pasta Salad is that it seems fancy, but only has three ingredients: Pasta, a jar of Capers and a Big Jar of Artichokes in EVOO. If you are ever in need of a quicky dish to make for something.

I'll keep it on for your lunch with your mum tomorrow.
