Yuan Fu Vegetarian Restaurant

Lunch was carryout from Yuan Fu. I started with the Crispy Taro Root Balls $5.95
Entree was Tofu Skin in Black Bean Sauce with Chinese Spinach $12.95
Because the portion was so massive, I could only eat half for lunch. Ordinarily, I'd try to eat something different for dinner, just to make da blog a little less boring. After receiving a total of two comments on yesterdays post, thinking of something else for dinner didn't seem worth the effort.
I will still show you the inside of a Crispy Taro Root Ball.

Liz Lovely Chocolate Moose Dragon Cookie for dessert.

Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot.

This is a really sweet post, Shen. (That's how I'm starting all my comments tonight - yours just happens to be sweet from the cookie and not love of your mom.) Those taro root balls look like circular Rubik's cubes from the outside! Weird.

hhaha ff. im so glad you showed the taro root innards! that is soooo good looking! and the tofu skin looks excellent also, it makes me want to cook with the dried tofu skin stuff that i bought awhile back!i tried a few things but wasnt to happy, but to use them as a wrap, that makes sense.

Ooooo, it all looks really good! I've never had anything with taro root in it.

I've received much less comments than usual on my posts lately, so I know the feeling of not wanting to put much effort into it. I think a lot of people are in a slump lately.

Hey, it takes me days to get the number of comments you normally get in just one day, so don't fret.

FF, cool idea! Starting all your comments with the same sentence. I'm totally stealing that one.

Michelle1, I always think of you when showing the innards.

Rose, how did they get those Peas and what not inside the Taro Root Balls? Oh sweet mystery of life!

Jennifer, thanks! It was indeed a super intense cookie in terms of chocolate.

Alessandra, I am stunned and amazed that you've even found my blog, so that more than makes up for the lack of comments.

VF, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had Taro before either. It's just a yam from South America (I believe).

Blessed Mama, you are so good at soothing my tortured soul.

Michelle2, everyone is super busy? Now I feel totally lame!

Cinco De Mayo and Mother's Day are behind us. I hope that we can all get back to the business of vegan blogging.

Sorry for not commenting yesterday, and it looks like I am late again tonight. I got dragged on an emergency flight to Philly to against my will.

Your re-plating looks great! I'll eat leftovers quickly when they're especially tasty.
