Why Is It Monday So Often?

Whole Food's had an 'Entree & Two Sides' deal today. A half pound of Stir-Fried Seitan (entree) and two quarter pounds of vegetables (sides) for $8. Pretty great deal!
Celebration Field Roast in Imagine Mushroom Gravy with two chopped Cremini Mushrooms and Tater Babies with Country Bob's and Fiddlehead Ferns. Shockingly delicious. The Fiddleheads were. Mr. SV bought and cooked them. We will get them again (if they're still in season by this weekend).
Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot.

I'm dying with these hermits! Also, I've always wanted to try fiddlehead ferns. Did you pick those or buy them?

Lol about the title! I hear ya...I definitely had a "Monday" sort of day today.

The seitan and veggies looks scrumptious, as does your dinner. I've had fiddleheads in restaurants, but never eaten them at home...I must try. I've also heard them called fiddle-faddles, which I think is cute.

I've never had fiddleheads. They are so cool looking! I'll look for them at Whole Foods today. Do you just steam them?

The WF lunch looks great. I've never heard of fiddleheads, so I had to go read up on them...sounds like something I would like to try!

Do you ever get a vacation? Sounds like you need one. Maybe starting every Monday.

That is quite a deal at WF - but then again, they should start some kind of loyalty program for you.

Thank You Gentle Readers,

FF, re-read the post and you will see that Mr. SV bought the Fiddleheads. How's that reading comprehension thing going?

Rose, nothing worse than waking up and realizing it's Monday.

Sara, Mr. SV rinsed the the Fiddleheads thoroughly, then boiled them for 15 minutes. They're really great. Fug, but good.

Michelle2, at the rate you're going, Fiddleheads are already a tiny dot in your rear view mirror.

Jessica, I try to save up my vacay in the event of layoffs.

That's so funny that you posted the fiddleheads because I saw them in Whole Foods on Sunday and was intrigued! Then there they were on your blog! What perfect timing :) What do they taste like?
