I'm intrigued by the appearance of prices. I have thought about setting myself on a food budget, but that's the one place I need to splurge (including al-co-hol). How much was supper?
BTW, a couple of nights ago I was like a mad woman rummaging through the pantry for a can of coconut milk to I could make magic bars after looking at your blog...there was none.
I agree with blessed mama! I HAVE to always include my favorites. I love lentis and I think they are so underloved. :( So Im glad to see some lentils on your faves!
Dianne & FF, yes, Mujadarra is always Rice & Lentils. Although, Rice & Lentils is not always Mujadarra.
Jessica, I believe supper (as they call it in the south), was less than $5. I know I had some intention in mind when I started adding the prices, but I forget now what it was.
Michelle1, do you ever cook/bake anything that comes out successfully?
Deb & Morgan, thanks! Glad you two are posting again.
Janet, you're so lucky you can go into Coconut Cake territory with a clean slate, unlike those of us with unresolved issues regarding this traditional Southern delight.
Jenny, in your dream, was I having sex with your husband? Cuz I think I had the same exact one! Regardless, you must make the Magical Coconut Cookie Bars! Don't give up!
Blessed Mama, 'new fangled' is definitely not my M.O.
Michelle2, I really have had some great meals lately. It's not as easy to do as it would seem.

Apparently I had no idea what mujdarrah was. Is it always rice/lentils?

And you were in my dream the other night!
Sometimes the favorites are what we need, not new-fangled dishes.
Lunch sounds great! Looks like you've had some great meals over the last several days! :o)
