Corn Season Is Upon Us

An Al Fresco lunch at Blue Moon Cafe, where Mr. SV & I shared the Hummus appetizer $5.95
and I had the 'Veggie Smack Sandwich' $8.50 Hummus, Oven Roasted Tomato, Cucumber, Jalapeno, Roasted Red Pepper on a toasted Whole Wheat Kaiser Roll. Roasted Corn Salad on the side.

Mr. SV took a pic of his lunch, the 'Southwest Wrap' $7.50 Brown Rice, Black Beans, Baby Spinach, Tomato & Salsa.

Speaking of Mr. SV & Corn, he grilled some outside tonight.

The smokey Corn alongside Morningstar Vegan Grillers was very tasty.

A few old Peanut Chews for dessert.

Aah sorry to be a tease with the comment number! For some reason I can't comment on my blog so to answer your question, yesterday yes that is all I ate but on most days I snack on some nuts or a larabar or some fruit between meals. They are usually on the go so I don't photograph it but yesterday was so hot I didn't feel like eating much at all.

For some reason I really like the travel photos of corn from the grill to the plate.
I am also inexplicably happy to see ye olde peanut chews make a reappearance! Is this October or what?

Corn , corn, corn...I love it!!!

Just returning from a few days away from the PC...great stuff!

It's not quite corn season here...but I'm getting in the mood with your pics. I love the little cucumber triangles on the hummus plate, nice touch. And while the veggie smack sandwich looks great...I think they could get some pointers from your hummus sandwich namesakes!

Corn on the grill! Looks soo good.

The veggie smack sounds like a great name. I can't believe I haven't heard of it being used before. I especially like the side of roasted corn.

Hey Now!

Michelle1, will you ever post again?

VaVa, glad to know you're getting in some nuts. I don't think you eat enough, but I won't tell your Mom on you.

FF, love those 'accidentally vegan' processed treats!

Rose, where did you go????

Alessandra, I have passed your compliment on to Mr. SV.

VF, Sara, Jessica, yeah, it was an okay sandwich. This is a restaurant where you go more to eat outdoors than for the excellent grub.

Kimberely, Walmart (our not so favorite place) carries the bags of Peanut Chews year 'round in the candy aisle.

I know it doesn't look like I eat enough but I promise I do. I graze all day, granted on healthy foods but I'm still eating :) I promise!
