Saturday, November 23rd

Breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien. 'Tofu Scrambler' $9.95 with a 'half' a side of Avocado for only $1.95. News flash: they said they do not want the glass jars back from the Chia Puddings. When you pay the $6.95 for the Pudding, you own the jar as well...
'Organic Lentil and Avocado Salad' $13.25 carried out for lunch. Arugula, Frisée, Raw Vegetables, Flax Seed, Chickpeas and Vinaigrette...
'Celeriac Soup' from The Randy Radish with LPQ Bread for dinner...
TJ's Raisin & Pecan Chocolate for dessert...
After breakfast, we picked up some carryout at Loving Hut. They have their Thanksgiving Day Menu posted (sorry for the glare)..
The high tomorrow is supposed to be 34 degrees. Will I brave the frigid temps to eat out?

Friday, November 22nd

Started the day off right with an Organic Honey Crisp Apple...
Lunch was at La Sandia, where I started with a 'Margarita De La Casa' $8. It was harrable! Like just salt water, not even any margarita mix. I drank it all anyway...
ate a lot of Chips and Salsa...
lots of Guac...
and split the 'Grilled Market Vegetable Fajitas' $13.95 with my mother...
As usual, I was dying of thirst by the time I got home. Drank this Sambazon to try to feel better...
it was rich and creamy, but I was still extraordinarily thirsty and went on to drink about a gallon of water...
Field Roast Frankfurters with TJ's Veggie Chili and Oven Fries for dinner restored my equilibrium...
Dipping my toe back in the restaurant water again tomorrow. Hopefully, it wont be so salty.

WTF Thursday

Yesterdays grub was so delicious, I couldn't help but repeat a few things today. Steel Cut Oats with TJ's Dried Cranberries for breakfast. Really hits the spot....
A Tofurky Oven Roasted Sandwich for lunch. Tons of Vegenaisse is key...
Boca Burgers with TJ's Veggie Chili and Oven Fries for dinner...
A 'Yeast Raised Glazed Donut' $2 from The Randy Radish for dessert...
Lunch with Mom tomorrow.

WTF Wednesday

Steel Cut Oats with TJ's Dried Cranberries for breakfast...
A Tofurky Italian Deli Slice Sandwich for lunch...
Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute, Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Steamed Broccoli for dinner...
A huge honkin piece of Hazelnut Cake from Vegan Treats via from Loving Hut for dessert. I ate the entire thing 'in one sitting'....
All different grub tomorrow.

WTF Tuesday

TJ's Cream Cheese on a TJ's Pumpkin Bagel. Oddly, these Bagels never get stale, even though they're over a month old...
'Mixed Vegetables and Tofu' $8.95 from Loving Hut for lunch...
Speaking of Loving Hut, dinner was a Japanese Golden Chop I picked up in their freezer...
Served alongside Wax Beans, the Chop was really great -- better than the Gardein Holiday Roast because there was no weird chemical taste...
The last slice of Wholly Wholesome Pumpkin Pie for dessert. It may have seen better days, but I've officially consumed an entire Pumpkin Pie myself. I guess that's one of the benefits of being an adult, you can eat an entire Pie or Cake and not get in trouble.
Cereal and a Sandwich tomorrow? Maybe...

WTF Monday

Eggless Egg Salad from The Common Market on a Wegman's Pumpernickel Bagel for breakfast. It was so great to eat a non-stale Bagel....
Skinny Bitch Red Wine 'Beef' Stew for lunch. I added some Peas, but they didn't noticeably enhance it...
Dinner had been carried out from Hempen Hill BBQ last week. Wild Rice, Spinach, Cannelloni Beans, Garlic, Shallots and Grape Tomatoes tossed in a Madeira non-butter sauce...
A bag of Barnana for dessert. It was okay, but don't plan on buying it again.
Cereal and a Sandwich tomorrow? Maybe.

Sunday, November 17th

Breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien. 'Tofu Scrambler' $9.95. I forgot to ask for a side of Avocado and also forgot to bring back the empty jars from the Chia Puddings...
'Mixed Vegetables and Tofu' $8.95 from Loving Hut for lunch...
While waiting around the Farmer's Market yesterday for The Randy Radish to arrive, I bought some 'last of the season' Wax Beans. Enjoyed them roasted tonight with Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute, Imagine Mushroom Gravy and leftover TJ's Teeny Tiny Taters...
A 'Hemp Seed Blondie' $2.95 from LPQ for dessert. Lots of richness packed into a small square...
Planning to WFH tomorrow, so perhaps there will be something new, but it's doubtful.

Saturday, November 16, 2013

Saturday, November 16th

'Creamy Breakfast Risotto' $7 from The Randy Radish for breakfast. Maple Syrup, Ginger, Organic Soy Milk, Chia Seeds, Banana and Granola...
it was like Rice Pudding in case you couldn't surmise...
Skinny Bitch Red Wine 'Beef' Stew for dinner. The recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of Red Wine and I didn't want to waste any good stuff in it, so I finally unwrapped a bottle I'd received for Christmas last year from a co-worker I'm not too fond of. How coincidental was it that the brand was 'Fat Bastard'?! (Also, forgot to get Peas for the Stew, but it's still a great recipe).
A 'Yeast Raised Glazed Donut' $2 from The Randy Radish for dessert. Very glad I stocked up on these...
Here is Mango enjoying that hyacinth basket I bought last year. The greatest sense of accomplishment I got today was cutting two dingle berries off his butt. This pic was taken prior to that experience.
Apparently, more dining out tomorrow. Can't wait to see where it will be.

Friday, November 15, 2013

Friday, November 15th

A Le Pain Quotidien 'Chia Pudding' $6.25 for breakfast...
A 'Roasted Veggie' Salad $13.50 from California Pizza Kitchen for lunch. Warm Artichoke Hearts, Asparagus, Eggplant, Red & Yellow Peppers, Corn and Sun-Dried Tomatoes served over cool Romaine and Avocado. Fat-Free Balsamic Vinaigrette on the side...
Fantastic Foods Sloppy Joes on TJ's English Muffins with TJ's Teeny Tiny Taters for dinner...
Thought I'd do dessert, but I guess that didn't happen. Kind of a healthy day.

WTF Thursday

TJ's Cream Cheese on another really super stale Wegman's Pumpernickel Bagel for breakfast. So stale was this bagel that I couldn't even slice it in half without it breaking into pieces. Let me reiterate, I am to blame for not freezing the Bagels when I bought them a few weeks ago...
Kept things soft after that breakfast. 'Organic Three Bean Chili' from The Randy Radish for lunch. A feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds....
'Shepherds Pie' from The Randy Radish for dinner. Really goes down easy...
A Rice Dream Vanilla Bar (that had survived in the freezer after the door had been left ajar for a few hours) for dessert. None the worse for wear, just a few ice crystals. I'm getting a message from the universe that I need to learn how to store my grub...
Carryout from CPK tomorrow for lunch..

WTF Wednesday

Breakfast this morning was one of two 'Chia Pudding's $6.25 bought at Le Pain Quotidien last Saturday. They sold the Pudding to me in these nice glass jars. What to do with the empty jars though? Bring them back to the restaurant to re-use?
I believe it was Mango on top of the Pudding. So delicious!
A Tofurky Italian Deli Slice Sandwich for lunch...
Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Roasted Brussels Sprouts for dinner....
An ABC Phenomenal Pumpkin Spice Cookie for dessert...
Probably some boring familiar food tomorrow.
