Perfect Pita, Reston

Lunch again today. I am hopelessly addicted
to this sandwich:

"The Hummus Veggie." Hummus with Lettuce,
Tomato, Onions, Green Peppers and Cucumbers
on a toasted Pita. (Specify No cheese). $4.99.
It's a delicious steal, but it's getting embarrassing
how often I am getting them.

If you are 100% vegan you should avoid the hummus at Perfect Pita. They put feta cheese in their hummus (although they do not easily disclose this fact). If you look at the hummus they sell at Whole Foods, you will see feta cheese in the ingredients. I spoke to one of their representatives at Whole Foods when they were giving out samples and they believe that the feta cheese is what makes their hummus so special and delicious. They claim that there are signs in their stores indicating that their hummus contains dairy, but I have not seen one. I can only hope that someone with a dairy allergy files a suit against them to shut them down. Who would even suspect that there was dairy in hummus??????? Why would anyone think hummus needs dairy??????
