The Backseat Bar & Grill, Winchester

Today's lunch was at this hard to find little joint.

The outside is boring...

...but the inside has a lot of stuff going on, with
several TVs, a jukebox, full bar etc.

We started with the Fried Pickles, aka 'Frickles'.
Super crispy on the outside, yummy dill pickles
on the inside.

The Veggie Burger for $6.99 was very large and
came with a generous portion of Fries. This place
is a real find. We can't wait to go back!

I WANT SOME FRICKLES NOW!! I used to eat those sooo often as a kid, but haven't had them in maaaaany years. I think it would be worth buying a fry daddy just to make me some frickles.

Go for it! Mr. SV loved the Frickles so much, he got an extra order to go.

OMG one of my favorite "college years" restaurants in Michigan that I frequented before evening classes had fried pickles just like that and I haven't been able to find them here! Winchester is a bit far from Fairfax but I may have to make the trip. Exciting! And I'm definitely trying the Perfect Pita place in Reston since I work in the Herndon area. It sounds awesome too.

Thanks for coming to my blog and posting! I think you can get a more convenient frickle fix here in Alexandria:

But do try the Hummus Veggie sandwich at Perfect Pita sometime. Say 'no cheese' when ordering.
