Kashi Oat Flakes with Wild Blueberry Clusters and Flaxseed Milk for breakfast.
Tofu and Cashews carried out from Faang for lunch.
Yves Veggie Salami on untoasted bread with Potato Salad from Roots for dinner.
Still too hot for dessert or anything else. Even blogging. PF Changs with Mom tomorrow.

WTF Wednesday

Turns out, it was so sweltering in the house yesterday cuz the AC was broken. Windows are now open, but no oven allowed till Friday when the repairman comes. More sweltering than ever now. Kashi Stawberry Fields with Flaxseed Milk for breakfast. Pre milk:

Post milk:
Assorted Vegetables, Beans and Lo Mein off the Hot Bar from Wegman's for lunch.
It may feel like summer, but dinner was all spring.
Another Chocolate Chip Cookie from Roots for dessert.
Buttercup snuck out of the barn this morning and wanted to play with the Squirrels. Don't worry, she is not a huntress. I'm a Squirrel and Bird lover,  and she is as well. The Squirrels are more afraid of me than of her.
More WFH tomorrow.

Tuesday, April 9th

A Lemon Poppyseed Muffin from Roots for breakfast...
White Beans, Chana Masala, Grilled Tofu and Collards from WF's Hot Bar for lunch...
Lightlife Smart Cutlets with TJ's Heirloom Tomatoes and Mac & Cheese from Roots for dinner.
I stocked up on a lot of food from Roots on Saturday since I won't get to go again for a very long time. If ever. Who knows?
So summer came yesterday. Temps are in the mid to upper 80s and, even with the AC on, it is sweltering. What I'm saying is, 'Too hot for dessert tonight'. WFH grub tomorrow.

WTF Monday

Kashi Stawberry Fields with Flaxseed Milk for breakfast. This was my first time eating a cereal where the fruit is re hydrated by the milk (growing up, I was never into Frankenberry or Cap'n Crunch Berries, Golden Grahams was my cereal of choice). Very unusual to have dried fruit become fresh like this.
Spinach, Broccoli & Mushroom Quiche from Roots for lunch. Tasted like the real thing. Fantastic.
The ingredients list in case anyone wants to recreate it.
The last serving of Field Roast En Croute for dinner.
A Chocolate Chip Cookie from Roots for dessert. I'll save the ingredients list of these Cookies to pad future posts.
Tomorrow, breakfast will be muffin-shaped. Lunch will be from WF's, so, if I'm lucky, there may be a couple pieces of triangular grub.

Sunday, April 7th

Brunch was Tofu Scramble $9.95 at Le Pain Quotidien...
I know I should have tried the Seasonal Special 'Crunola Parfait', but I had the Tofu Scramble in mind the whole way there. Hopefully, I'll try the Parfait next time.
Wegman's Chickeness Nuggets with Heinz-57 and Sweet Potato Fries with Chipotle Vegenaisse for dinner....
Peanut Butter Cupcake from Roots for dessert.
Justin's PB Cup on top. I'll have to revisit those cuz it was better than I remembered.
WFH grub tomorrow.

Saturday, April 6th

The Spinach & Artichoke Dip $10 at Great Sage for breakfast...
and the Grilled Reuben $11 for lunch...
washed down with a cold Organic Draft IPA $6. All awesome.
Because it is such a great restaurant and we only get to go once or twice a year, I'll show Mr SVegetarian's choices as well. Samosas in Filo for his appetizer..
and the Winter Chili with Quinoa and Cornbread for his entree. Very pretty.
More than stuffed, I still ate dinner, but just some Field Roast Franks and TJ's Tater Tots.
No dessert. Will I digest it all to start anew tomorrow?

Friday, April 5th

Yadda Yadda Yadda Breakfast....
Lunch was at Lebanese Taverna. You get this attractive Pita Bread display when you sit down. Don't ask me what the dipping sauce was. EVOO, Sumac and the rest is a mystery.
We shared some very good Garlic Hummus $7...
and Roasted Olives $5...
and I had the Falafel Sandwich $10. All pretty good.
Yves Veggie Salami on leftover Pita with some leftover Olives for dinner.
This recipe makes a massive unwieldy tower of cake. I shredded some Dark Chocolate on top to pretty it up a little bit, because it was not cooperating when assembling.
Tempeh Reuben tomorrow.

WTF Thursday

Eggless Egg Salad on a toasted Rudi's English Muffin for breakfast...
Tofu and Cashew Nuts carried out from Faang for lunch....
Boca Chikn Patties and Asparagus for dinner.
Cleo Cups for dessert.
When I saw the headlines today: 'Vegan Flips Out', my first thought was, 'Oh no! What did FF do now?' Turned out to be a guy named Jack Litsky from New Jersey who wanted to bring his own pasta to a restaurant. Personally, I've always been way more suspicious of the sauce in restaurant than the pasta. Speaking of which, Groupon lunch out with Mom tomorrow.

WTF Wednesday

A bowl of Bobs Red Mill Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats and Craisins for breakfast.
'The Veg' from South Street Under for lunch.
Field Roast Franks with Sauerkraut and TJ's Teeny Tiny Taters with Sour Supreme for dinner.
Currently not feeling the blogging thing. Just going through the motions till it passes.

Tuesday, April 2nd

Looky! Looky! I finally got a hold of an actual bottle of  Bhakti Chai! It made for a surprisingly satisfying breakfast. Also surprising, how much spicier it is than Starbucks Iced Soy Chai. Thanks for the rec, Ingrid! I will definitely buy it again.

Cube food from PF Changs for lunch. Super delicious today.
Dinner & Dessert in one meal:
WFH grub again tomorrow.

WTF Monday

Kashi Autumn Wheat with Flax Milk for breakfast....
Yves Veggie Salami on a toasted Sesame Bagel for lunch...
Now there is just one serving left of this Field Roast En Croute...
A Creme Filled Donut from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut for dessert. I thought I was buying a Jelly Donut, but somehow was able to make do once I realized it was not so.
I will be sitting in a cubicle all day tomorrow (not a 'cubby hole' as my mother calls it) and I may or may not consume cube-shaped food.
