Lunch today was the Veggie Burrito Bol from Chipotle. Dinner was Mr. SV's Thursday Night Pasta -- This time with TJ's Capellini, Coppola's Porcini Marsala Sauce, Boca Crumbles and TJ's Meatless Meatballs.Mundane but delicious and cruelty free!
Wow, your hubby makes dinner each Thursday night. You lucky woman. I cut the end off a finger about 6 months ago and my husband picked up food from our favorite local restaurant until I could cook again. I guess you see why I am so impressed with your hubby.
Eeek! You cut the end off a finger???? Is that story on your blog? If not, it sounds like a good Halloween post. (And, yes, hubby makes spaghetti every Thursday).
No the story isn't on my blog. I will try to make it short.
I was cutting stale whole wheat bread into cubes to put into the food processor for bread crumbs and took the end of my litlte finger with a serrated knife. It hurt like hell and bled for two days. It throbbed for days and then looked very odd (black on the end and flat for about a month). However it healed fine and you can't tell I ever did it except that the end of that finger doesn't have any ridge detail and still feels tender.
I am much more careful now when cutting bread. According to my chef friend most of the guys that cut themselves badly in the kitchen do it while slicing bread too. His theory is that it happens because people don't use standard knife skills when I cutting bread (I know I wasn't so he is probably right).
If I had a picture of it would make good Halloween story, but I don't. :( At the time it wasn't something I wanted to remember.
