It was a rainy nasty morning, so I opted to stay home. Kashi Strawberry Fields and Flaxseed Milk for breakfast...
'The Veg' $5.95 Curried Hummus, Lettuce, Tomato and Cucumber on Ciabatta from South Street Under for lunch...
Gardein Chick'n Scallopini with Mac & Cheese from Dawson's Market for dinner....
The other half a piece of Yellow Cake with Chocolate Frosting from Dawson's Market for dessert.
Absolutely must get my *ss into the office tomorrow.

Sunday, April 28th

"Who dis?!" you ask. It's actually one of the few pics in circulation of The Unknown Vegan. I'm posting it because she gave me a gift certificate to Fratelli's Restaurant in Alexandria. So, if you see her,  be nice and she might give you a gift certificate too!
Neither Mr. SVegetarian nor myself had been to nor heard of this restaurant before. It is in a cute free-standing building off Van Dorn Street. Upon sitting down, we each enjoyed an Iced Cold Peroni $5.25 while we perused the menu. Our first ever Italian beer. Great firsts abounded.
The hot crusty Italian Bread was excellent...
as was the Side Salad that comes with the Entree..
A piping hot plate of Angel Hair Pasta with Fresh Basil and Light Tomato Sauce $13.45 was my entree. All great. Thank you so much, Unknown! And after lunch, Mr. SVegetarian took me by the apartment where he lived during his depressed teen-age years, so that was informative.
What do you do for dinner after all that?! Morningstar Farms Vegan Grillers with Daiya and Roasted Potatoes for dinner.
Then you move on to a half a piece of Yellow Cake with Chocolate Frosting from Dawson's Market for dessert.
I dunno about you, but I'm starting to get suspicious of the ingredients lists on my desserts. There isn't even any mention of Chocolate in this one..
Back to the cube tomorrow.

Saturday, April 27th

Starbucks Hazelnut Soy Frappucino (melting in the passenger seat) for breakfast.
I greatly enjoyed sipping my frozen drink whilst browsing a near empty Sharp Shopper. Below is my haul. For .50 a package, I will find something to do with the Frozen Spinach and Veggie Chips. .99/bag for Hash Browns, plus some TVP, Snack Bags, Tomatoes and Potatoes.
Field Roast Franks and TJ's Tots for lunch.
Bologna and Vegenaisse Sandwich for dinner. 
No dessert after all that excellent grub.

Friday, April 26th

A Fruit Bar from The Randy Radish for breakfast. It may have gotten a little dried out since Wednesday when I bought it....
Lunch was at Sushi Damo, where I enjoyed a Lychee Martini $10 Soho Lychee Liqueur, Stoli Vanilla, Lychee Puree and Creme De Cassis. The main reason I bought this Groupon was to get this cocktail. It was fun.
My very photogenic Vegetable Plate $15. No clue what some of the stuff was but it was all very beautiful.
I needed my brown foods by dinner time: Chili Tofu from Dawson's Market and Baked Potatoes
Chocolove and White Chocolate PB for dessert.
No food plans tomorrow at all.

WTF Thursday

Today I gave up on the Schmearing thing and just applied a massive amount of Cream Cheese to my Bagel. Worked out just as well.
Tofu and Cashews from Faang for lunch.
Gardein Savory Stuffed Turk'y and Roasted Zucchini for dinner.
So after picking the only Morel we found this season and soaking overnight, it was ready for eating...
In preparation, I gently dabbed a little Vegenaisse all over the aforementioned fungi, rolled it in some Cornmeal and baked it in the oven for a few minutes. Mr. SVegetarian let me devour the whole thing since I found it, but I must admit, it wasn't that great. Not sure why. Guess it had been through a lot before my ingesting it.
A piece of a Rice Crispy Type Treat from The Randy Radish for dessert. Really nice and chewy.
A Groupon lunch out with Mom tomorrow. It's at a Sushi place we've never been to before so hopefully things will go smoothly.

WTF Wednesday

Kashi Oat Flakes and Blueberry Clusters with Flax Milk for breakfast.
An impressive BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich and Fries from The Randy Radish for lunch. They really did a great job with the BBQ Jackfruit and the Remoulade Sauce on the side was also excellent.
Boca Chikn Patties and Roasted Zucchini for dinner. Yes, again. It's good sh*t and I like it.

Gonna make every effort to go into the office tomorrow because I think they're starting to notice that I'm WFH more than allowed.

This morning's Blueberry Muffin was from Mellow Moods. This is currently my favorite local Blueberry Muffin. Moist with lots of Berries.
Curried Cauliflower, Grilled Tofu and O'Brien Potatoes (leftover from the breakfast buffet) from WF's for lunch...
Mr. SVegetarian made Spaghetti with TJ's Meatless Meatballs for dinner.
The last third of a piece of Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake from Dawson's Market for dessert.

WFH Monday

The schmearing gods were not on my side this morning, but breakfast still tasted good.
The other half a quart of Wegman's 'Vegetarian Chili Soup' for lunch. I added Shitakes because I apparently ran out of TVP and didn't know it.
Field Roast Franks and Mac & Cheese from Dawson's Market for dinner.
Another third of a piece of Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake from Dawson's Market for dessert.
Cube food tomorrow. Starting with a Blueberry Muffin. Will there actually be Blueberries in it? Tune in to find out.

Sunday, April 21st

Breakfast was at Mellow Moods in Shepherdstown. I originally ordered a Vegan Burrito, but while I was waiting (and waiting, hey, it's mellow) for it, I grew concerned that it wouldn't be tasty or filling.
So I then ordered a Hummus on a Toasted Everything Bagel. All the food arrived at once. Turned out the Vegan Burrito was more than enough in terms of taste and portion. Mr. SVegetarian ate half the Burrito to help me out.

It was a really big piece. Really awesome too.
This morning while pulling out of the driveway en route to breakfast, Mr. SVegetarian told me to keep an eye out for Morels. Lo and behold! I instantly saw this one by the side of the driveway!
Usually, Mr. SVegetarian has the keen eye for the Morels, so I was excited to spot one myself.
After breakfast, I brought Poley out to help me hunt for more shrooms. It was to no avail, so we left the one I found in the morning unpicked in hopes that it will continue to grow and more Morels will pop up over night.
