Not An Exciting Food Day

I took the day off work so lunch was at home -- the last of the Magical Loaf I made over a week ago with a Baked Potato and Sour Supreme.
Dinner was Franks & Beans!
I am "detoxing" from all the flour & Daiya I had yesterday.
Since the temps are now in the 80's, I had some Mango Sorbet for dessert to cool off.
Lots of Frontera Shiraz. See you tomorrow!

No paninis again today, so I got the Spring Veggie Sandwich. It was good, but no panini.
Mr. SV made a home made pizza crust tonight with Tomato Sauce from LEDO Pizzeria and Daiya Mozzarella. Tres delicioso!
Lots of Frontera Shiraz. See you tomorrow!

Dinner was a jar of TJ's Curry Simmer Sauce, a package of Spinach, some leftover Brown Rice from PF Changs & a can of Garbanzos....
Served with a half of a Tofurkey Italian Sausage.

I Ate Good Today

Lunch was Cheddar Daiya and Tomato Quesadillas with Avocado and Salsa Verde. Made with Whole Food's Organic Tortillas.
Dinner was yet more of the Magical Loaf I made over the weekend (this loaf recipe certainly was economical. There's still a piece left!) with TJ's Teeny Tiny Potatoes and Sour Supreme.
Lots of Frontera Malbec. See you tomorrow!

Pizza & Nuggets

I wanted to make some pizza with my Daiya mozzarella, so I bought a couple packages of TJ's Whole Wheat Pizza Dough. Unfortunately, when I got home I read the ingrediants and of course they aren't vegan -- L-Cysteine rears it's ugly head again. So I instead used Ezekiel English Muffins, Wegman's Marinara sauce and some Daiya mozzarella to satisfy my pizza craving. There was a plating issue that required me to scoop the sauce & Daiya back on top of the muffins before photographing, so it may look a little messy, but it was very delicious! So delicious, in fact, that I made two more and fortunately these two did not perform a back-flip onto the plate.
Dinner was Gardein Crispy Tenders with Heinz 57.
Lots of Frontera Malbec. See you tomorrow!

Maybe I Over Did It Today

Lunch was at Amalfi's in Rockville. I had a House Salad....
...and a side of Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce. Also several thick slices of Italian Bread dipped in fruity Olive Oil and a few glasses of Dry Red Table Wine.
Dinner was yet more of the Magical Loaf I made over the weekend with TJ's Teeny Tiny Potatoes and Sour Supreme...
Lots of Frontera Malbec. See you tomorrow!

Another Exciting Post

Whole Foods didn't have any Vegan Paninis today, so I just got stuff off the Salad Bar --Tabouleh, Bean Salad & Buckwheat Pasta. However! WF's did have more Daiya, so I (calmly & quietly this time) stocked up on two bags of the 'mozzarella'.
Dinner was Boca Burgers with Cheddar Daiya & Pickles on Whole Wheat with Oven Fries.
Dessert was three of these TJ's After Dinner Mints...
Lots of Frontera Malbec. See you tomorrow!

I Ate Well Today

Breakfast was a massive Anjou Pear. Lunch was a bottle of Ginger Kombucha....
...and some Stir-Fried Seitan with Bok Choy from Whole Foods.
Two steamed Artichokes with a dollop of Veganaisse for dinner. I've been dreaming of these since Saturday and they didn't disappoint. Three more of these bad boys are sitting on the kitchen counter waiting to be steamed.
Lots of Frontera Malbec. That's all I ate today. See you tomorrow!

More Old Standbys...

Lunch was a Nora sandwich made with WF's Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and Spinach on a toasted Ezekiel English Muffin.
Dinner was Tofu Scramble with a Hash Brown and Yves Breakfast Patties.
Dessert was one of these Snickerdoodle cookies. There was nothing Snickerdoodlish about these other than a little Cinnamon & Sugar topping.
Lots of Frontera Malbec. See you tomorrow!

A Day Of Firsts

I steamed Artichokes today for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed them with good old Veganaisse. Can't wait to make them again! What took me so long????
For dinner, I finally made a loaf from the Magical Loaf Studio...
It came out of the loaf pan in one nice piece, but did crumble a little upon slicing. This is the recipe I selected and it was very delicious!
1/2 cup walnuts
2 TB olive oil
One onion, diced
One large garlic clove, minced
2 cups mashed firm tofu
1 cup cooked brown rice
1/4 to 1/2 cup tomato juice, as needed
1/2 cup uncooked polenta
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. dried sage
1 tsp. dried basil
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. dried rosemary
1 tsp. ground cumin
2 TB nutritional yeast flakes
2 TB ketchup
Several dashes vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 TB soy sauce

No dessert, just a bottle of Chateau St. Jean. See you tomorrow!

Not The Most Interesting Food Day

But still decent. Lunch was off the Hot Asian Bar at Wegmans -- Kung Pao Tofu, Sauteed String Beans and Basmati Rice...This was more food than it appears. Quite a bit of poundage.
Dinner was a TJ's Valencia PB and Boysenberry Jelly Sandwich on an Ezekiel English Muffin.
Plus a bottle of Simi Valley Cabernet...

I'm Still Eatin' Good

Kombucha - Good stuff. Drink it!
Lunch was the Stir-Fried Seitan from the Whole Food's Health Bar (the Seitan Paninis had goat cheese on them today. Dumb).
Tried the Daiya again tonight. Same way as before -- on top of a Boca Burger with sliced Tomato on Whole Wheat with Oven Fries. It's definitely pretty good. I'd buy it again... if I ever see it again....
Lots of Frontera Cabernet/Merlot. Be back tomorrow!
