Saturday, May 24th

I've been craving the Buckwheat Pancakes from The Little Grill ever since we ate there last year per Jared's recommendation. Splurged on the Blueberries in my Short Stack $5 this morning...
Also enjoyed a side of Tofu Scramble $4...
After breakfast, we picked up a couple quarts of soup from A Bowl Of Good. A pretty cool store is attached to the restaurant, if you're interested in doing some shopping. Yes, that is my vehicle...

Had I not opted for Chikn Grillers and Oven Fries for dinner, I would've had some of the Soup..
So not much accomplished during the first third of the holiday weekend, but there's still two thirds left. Bye for now.

Breakfast looks so good! Pancakes are always a delicious choice- and although the tofu scramble isn't very scrambled it looks great. I can't believe those wonderfully cheap prices!
The soup-centric store sounds like so much fun, even though i'm still sick of soup from the winter.... I'll come around once the tomatoes are ready for gazpacho.

Weekend productivity is overrated.

I like the sour pickles, or dill pickles- maybe i was wrong but it looked like your lunch fri had those super crunchy half sour ones....

Breakfast looks fantastic, I can definitely see why you'd be craving it. The berries were a very good splurge, pancakes with berries are the best. The scramble looks yummy too.

The bowl place sounds great, it's a really cool idea to do a bowl themed restaurant. Looking forward to seeing what kinds of soup you got. Summer must be coming, I'm craving corn chowder!

Cute car. I imagine lots of zipping from vegan eatery to vegan eatery goes on in that thing.
my grandmother used to make buckwheat pancakes, and that's the only place I've ever had them but I can still remember the taste - they're fantastic.

Hey Now!!!!

Unknown, did you hop on a Citibike to pedal to an exotic enclave this weekend? I have definitely not been productive these past two days. Maybe, I'll try researching the different types of Pickles so I'll know what the heck I'm eating cuz I can't tell ya.

Sarah, Corn Chowder is an unusual craving. Think you'll ever post again?

FF, my mother made Buckwheat Pancakes using Aunt Jemima's Box mix. Log Cabin Syrup. Good stuff.

Hannah, Happy Birthday! I can only imagine that amount of Cake & Ice Cream you consume on your birthday.

Glad you were able to get to LGC again -- I never had a chance to try their tofu scramble. I tried some vegan soup from A Bowl of Good that was available for retail at Friendly City Food Co-Op before their storefront outpost opened. Good stuff. Now I'm left craving one of LGC's cookies...
