Thursday, February 6th

Grapefruit and a couple Spirulina Energy Bites for breakfast (because just a Grapefruit is never enough, I always need a little something else)...
Lunch was at Brooklyn's Deli. You get a nice assortment of Pickles when you sit down...
My Mother & I shared some very excellent Fries $2.50...
I enjoyed the usual 'Veggie Sandwich' $8.99 Spinach, Sprouts, Avocado, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Carrots and Hummus....
When Mr. SVegetarian & I were at Common Market this past weekend, we both got ourselves a pint of their Classic Lentil Soup. Tonight, Mr. SVegetarian generously gave me his Lentil Soup for my dinner. Sometimes he is not such a bad guy...
Coming up tomorrow: a big Sandwich.

All I see right now is your lunch. For the record, that is my perfect meal. The pickles look so perfect, and you know I love my pickles. Steak fries are my favorite cut and they look perfectly golden and crispy. The sandwich is packed with my favorite veggies and you can't go wrong with hummus. I'm so jealous of your lunch you have no idea.

I'm not totally gluten free, and I'm actually trying to cut it down quite a bit. I'm a total sucker for good bread so I'll never be able to cut that out but I'm good with gf everything else so that's pretty much the goal for now.

I know what you mean about needing a little something extra - for breakfast especially. Sometimes a piece of fruit IS enough but it leaves an empty lingering in my soul. Or actually that's just how I feel about everything always.
The pickles and fries sound like enough to me, however. As long as I didn't have to share the fries.

To be fair, I think you two used to not go to deli's and sandwich joints as often. ;) I'll have throw those options into the mix for future guesses. Happily, those gorgeous pickles make up for it.

Inspired by your breakfasts i picked up some of those nuggets the other day too! So good.
Perfect lunch. Hope your mom took those half sour imitation pickles. Impressive sandwich- no nyc deli i've been to has a veg sandwich like that!
Mr SV seems to be on his best behavior lately, i wonder what kind of magic goes into that lentil soup.....?

I've been eating way too much (is there such a thing?) Vegenaise of late and I've decided that your sammie needs some.

Weird. None of the images in your post are loading for me, no matter how much I refresh the page. Ah well. I'm sure it all looks delicious.

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, you do love Pickles. I really admire people that can avoid bread and pasta. It's my downfall.

FF, the Grapefruit would probably be enough, but due to past circumstances where I HAD to eat something else and had nothing on hand, the Energy Bites are a pre-emptive strike.

Ingrid, yes, that is fair to say. We haven't been getting many Groupons lately, so we're 'free' to go wherever we want.

Unknown, the Energy Bites are so good! Mom & I both avoided the Half-Sour Pickle. Next time we'll alert them not to waste any on us. I wish I'd taken a pic of the Lentil Soup ingredient list. Certainly tastes like there might be some sherry or wine. So much depth of flavor.

Abby, I agree. Vegenaisse would have been a great addition to the Sandwich.

Hannah, you're missing out of some spectacular food photography.
